About You
The person we are looking for will be a motivated self-starter and have an eagerness to help others and solve problems. The HR Generalist will report to the HR Director and will support the entire employee life cycle, human resource functions, and processes with the company. This position will parter with the HR team to address general needs, support engagement programs, assist in developing and retaining talent, and supporting our most valuable and important customers – our employees!

Responsibilities
A Human Resource Generalist is generally responsible for meeting and supporting the business goals within the HR department. To be successful in this role you will:
- Maintain a high degree of detail-orientation, strict confidentiality and discretion, independent judgement, initiative, organization, time management, and high ethical standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
- Assist with enhancing and developing workflows and business processes.
- Assist in coordinating employee and benefit events such as wellness week, benefit fairs, food drives, and volunteer events.
- Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts, including new hire orientation and onboarding process. Partners with hiring managers to ensure engaging new employee experience.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of digital employee files through tracking and indexing documents according to HR compliance requirements.
- Answer Verification’s of Employment (VOE’s), perform regular Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR’s),
- Administer Background Verification’s and Drug Screens as needed.
- Maintain I-9 Filings
- Maintain Uniform Inventory
- Audit vehicle insurance policies to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Create and design monthly company newsletter.
- Track, Manage and Maintain FMLA, ADA and STD files
- Assist with safety audits, incident alerts, and other safety related tasks.
- Other duties as assigned in support of the HR Department and corporate initiatives.
Requirements And Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree is preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous HRMS/HRIS experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Word, Outlook)
