Role Description
The Marketing Coordinator supports FDG’s marketing and business development efforts through content creation, digital marketing, social media management, lead generation, and brand visibility initiatives. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role helps maintain a consistent and polished presence across the firm’s website, newsletters, social platforms, and industry communications. The ideal candidate has experience in professional services marketing (preferably within architecture, interior design, construction, or engineering) and is organized, creative, and proactive. Strong writing, editing, graphic/layout skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support consistent social media posting across all platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), including content development, scheduling, and basic performance tracking.
- Assist with lead generation initiatives, including market research, data mining, list development, and prospect tracking.
- Maintain and update the FDG website using Squarespace, ensuring content remains current, accurate, and aligned with firm branding.
- Develop and edit editorial content including firm announcements, staff highlights, project narratives, thought leadership posts, etc.
- Maintain and grow targeted B2B media and industry contact lists, support outreach efforts for press, visibility, and firm announcements.
- Assist with design award submissions, including project write-ups, image coordination, formatting, and meeting submission deadlines.
- Attend and support networking events, conferences, and industry functions; assist with, preparation, and follow-up communication.
- Support internal marketing organization including file management, photo libraries and project information tracking.
- Manage personal scheduling, project planning, deadlines, and time tracking in accordance with FDG standards.
- Seek opportunities to improve processes, strengthen FDG’s brand presence, and proactively support business development goals.
- Provide supplemental marketing support to FDG’s logistics company as needed, including light content coordination, brand consistency, and communications support.
- Create branded graphics, templates, and marketing collateral for digital and print use.
- Coordinate the development, publication, and distribution of the company’s quarterly digital newsletter.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant marketing experience required.
- Previous marketing experience in architecture, interior design, construction, or engineering fields strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or similar professional design software.
- Proficiency in Canva or similar user-friendly design platforms.
- Experience managing and updating websites using Squarespace.
- Experience in utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate deadlines, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel by air.
- Up to 20% nationwide travel can be expected.
- Preferably based in the Austin or Dallas/Fort Worth area.
