God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach.
Position Summary
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a critical execution and operations role within the Marketing and Communications Department. This position reports directly to the Director of Strategic Communications and is responsible for assisting with day-to-day marketing and communications workflows, ensuring content is published accurately and on time, and maintaining brand consistency across all platforms.
This role supports the Director of Strategic Communications by translating strategy into execution, coordinating assets, requests, and timelines across teams, and ensuring marketing and communications initiatives move forward efficiently and consistently.
This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Operations and Coordination
- Serve as the primary coordinator for incoming marketing and communications requests, under the direction of the Director of Strategic Communications.
- Track project status, deadlines, approvals, and deliverables using established tools and workflows.
- Maintain content calendars, campaign trackers, and internal documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Follow up with internal teams, vendors, and partners to support timely execution.
- Organize, manage, and archive digital assets including photos, videos, graphics, and campaign materials.
Website and Digital Content Management
- Publish and update content on GRO Community’s websites, including program pages, blogs, service updates, and announcements.
- Ensure website content aligns with organizational priorities and guidance set by the Director of Strategic Communications.
- Conduct routine quality checks for broken links, outdated content, accessibility, and mobile optimization.
- Escalate technical issues and coordinate fixes as needed.
Content and Social Media Execution
- Draft, schedule, and publish approved content across social media platforms in alignment with the content calendar.
- Execute campaign-specific content plans developed by the Director of Strategic Communications.
- Capture on-site content at GRO programs, events, and community activations, as assigned.
- Ensure all content reflects GRO Community’s brand voice, messaging framework, and communications policies.
Communications and Collateral Support
- Support the development and distribution of flyers, email campaigns, presentations, and print materials.
- Coordinate with external vendors for printing, signage, and promotional materials, with approval from the Director of Strategic Communications.
- Assist with internal newsletter as requested.
Event and Community-Based Support
- Coordinate marketing logistics for community events, outreach efforts, and activations.
- Track inventory of marketing materials and swag; support reordering and distribution.
- Represent GRO Community professionally at events in alignment with brand and community standards.
- Attend occasional evening or weekend events as part of marketing support responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (English, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations/Advertising, Marketing or related field)
- Two to four years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field.
- Working knowledge of WordPress.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, content scheduling tools, and basic performance metrics.
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- Experience in nonprofit, community-based, or social impact organizations preferred.
