The Minnesota Star Tribune is looking for an
Associate Digital Media Buyer at our headquarters in
Minneapolis MN. to help with the development, execution, optimization, and analysis of complete digital marketing campaigns for our clients. The primary responsibility of the Associate Digital Media Buyer is to set up digital media campaigns for owned, operated and advantage digital campaigns. A successful digital media campaign will achieve or exceed delivery and performance based on KPIs outlined by clients and communicated to the buyer.
The Digital Operations team gives clients an advantage over traditional local media. Along with our own digital assets such as Startribune.com, our smartphone apps, and newsletter campaigns, we build out complete digital marketing campaigns for our clients including paid search, social media marketing and off-channel audience based programmatic buys. Our teams execute, optimize, and analyze both owned and operated and off channel marketing campaigns for our clients to ensure the best results. We are more than a newspaper publisher; our sales executives and digital operations staff take the time to strategize and develop full-service campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of digital media campaigns across various buying platforms.
- Monitor digital media campaigns within multiple DSP’s daily.
- Optimize toward established KPIs during the life of a campaign.
- Pull data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations to take to strategists and digital leads.
- Manage, prioritize, and respond to ad-hoc requests as assigned.
- Research and stay abreast of current industry best practices and trends, develop and maintain digital best practices, and promote digital optimization techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or certification; or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience utilizing Real-Time Bidding technologies (DSPs, Ad Exchanges, SSPs).
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex client campaigns and relationships against performance metrics.
- Ad trafficking experience utilizing platforms such as Google Campaign Manager.
- Experience with Google Ad Manager or other ad serving technology.
- DoubleClick Campaign Manager/DoubleClick Bid Manager and Google Analytics certifications are preferred but not required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, development processes and business priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TM, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Compensation Range
The hourly compensation range for this position is $26.44 to $28.85.
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
