Free Speech TV (FSTV), a Denver, Colorado-based independent news network,is seeking a Multimedia Producer & Distribution Coordinator. This position plays an important role in producing high-quality video content while supporting the technical workflows that power FSTV’s digital distribution across broadcast, OTT, and online platforms.
This hybrid remote/in-person position supports the Programming and Digital Operations by managing multimedia production workflows and coordinating media distribution across FSTV’s digital ecosystem. The Video Producer & Distribution Coordinator will work closely with programming, marketing, and operations teams to ensure video content is properly edited, packaged, and distributed across the organization’s platforms.
Our FSTV staff of 17, as well as our mission, are dedicated to affecting social change through journalism, narrative shaping, and storytelling. FSTV’s programming and digital distribution reaches millions of viewers through television affiliates, streaming platforms, and online media channels.
This role is critical to ensuring that FSTV’s content is produced efficiently and delivered reliably across the many platforms where our audiences engage with our work. The Video Producer & Distribution Coordinator helps maintain the workflows that move content from production to broadcast, streaming services, social media, and the FSTV website.
The Details:
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Editing and producing promotional clips, trailers, social videos, and digital content packages for broadcast, web, OTT, and social media platforms.
- Executing daily multimedia production workflows including editing, content preparation, and quality review of submitted media files.
- Creating and adapting supporting graphics such as thumbnails, lower thirds, promotional visuals, and branded digital assets.
- Administering and supporting digital content workflows within Zype and related systems, including media ingest, metadata management, publishing, and quality control.
- Coordinating media distribution across FSTV platforms including the website, OTT, applications, affiliate delivery systems, and social channels.
- Monitoring distribution workflows and identifying technical or delivery issues affecting broadcast or digital platforms.
- Ingesting, transcoding, formatting, and performing quality control on incoming media assets for multi-platform delivery.
- Assisting with website updates, newsletter workflows, and digital publishing tasks.
- Supporting live or pre-recording streaming workflows in collaboration with programming and operations teams.
- Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of 4 years education and/or experience working with foundation cultivation, mid- to high-level donors, relationship building, foundation cultivation, program development, writing, marketing, and/or other related skills.
- Demonstrated professional experience in video editing and post-production.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience working with digital video formats, encoding workflows, and multi-platform media delivery.
- Familiarity with content management systems or video CMS platforms (Zype or similar platforms preferred).
- Experience preparing media assets for web, OTT, or broadcast distribution.
- Basic graphic design skills for creating thumbnails, promotional visuals, and digital assets.
- Working knowledge of WordPress or similar website publishing systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Location
This is a hybrid remote/in-person position. At this time, this position is expected to be in the office at least 1 day per week at FSTV’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado, and remote 4 days per week. Occasional extra office days may be required. Free Speech TV will provide the necessary equipment to work from home, but you will need a space to work remotely 4 days a week. The remote/in-person schedule is subject to change.
Working hours are typically Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm MT.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $58,000, commensurate with experience. This is an FLSA exempt position. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, short-term/long-term disability insurance, generous paid time off, and a 401 (k) retirement plan.
Additional benefits include nine (9) paid holidays, plus the week between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31; ten (10) to twenty (20) paid days off for employees, based on years served. Free Speech TV also provides paid Sick Leave, Personal Days, Parental Leave, Sabbatical Leave, and a 401(k) plan.
