These programs are supported by Candela’s global clinical, regulatory, and quality teams and are managed through our Product Development Process (PDP) and Quality Management System (QMS).

Products are sold direct in 18 countries worldwide and through distributors in over 60 others and are supported by field service, clinical education, marketing development organizations and distributorship arrangements.
The Manager, Advocacy Professional Programs plays a Key operational and analytical role in supporting Candela’s global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement programs, professional education initiatives, and key regional programs. This individual serves as a central coordination point for KOL engagement, educational events, and program analytics — ensuring initiatives are executed efficiently, data is tracked accurately, and programs deliver measurable impact.
The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities, excellent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously. The Manager partners cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, sales, and regional teams to support the planning and execution of professional education programs, maintain KOL engagement data and reporting, and help ensure Candela’s advocacy initiatives operate with consistency, discipline, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Global KOL Program Support [40%]
- Global point person (distributor markets) to maintain and update centralized KOL database, ensuring accuracy of profiles
- Maintain and update corporate KOLs contracts
- Track, monitor and follow up on KOL activity dashboards in support of engagement analytics ensuring alignment with advocacy program objectives
- Support preparation of quarterly KOL activity reports and scorecards
- Support execution of quarterly KOL newsletter including pulling content from stakeholders
- Support KOL advocacy programs including educational training programs and annual awards
2. EMEA KOL Coordination & Support [30%]
Relationship & Scheduling Coordination
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact between internal stakeholders and a portfolio of 15+ EMEA KOLs, supporting educational, clinical, and marketing engagement
- Coordinate and schedule KOL participation in symposia, webinars, congresses, and regional educational events in alignment with local market needs
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Clinical, Finance) to ensure KOL engagement supports strategic priorities
Logistics & Administrative Execution
- Administer KOL travel logistics (hotel, airfare, ground transportation) for KOLs in support of EMEA workshops, tradeshows, events
- Create and process purchase orders, manage invoices for honoraria and vendor payments
- Track expenses, invoice payment and budgets for KOL programs in alignment with approved spend.
- Maintain accurate documentation of KOL contracts, deliverables, and engagement history.
Presentation & Content Support
- Provide PowerPoint editing and formatting support to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment.
- Track faculty submissions and ensure timely receipt of presentation materials.
- Review and refine slides for clarity, impact, and brand coherence prior to events.
3. EMEA Events & Education Support [30%]
Communication and implementation support of the KOL agenda
- Organization and coordination of and faculty coordination for regional EMEA events, specifically the annual Candela Academy
- Partner with Global Creative to execute approved event concepts and ensure consistent branding across event assets (agendas, signage, banners, digital templates, name badges, etc.)
- Support and manage of portal – working on design for items necessary for portal
Distributor Support
- Support team with distributor and other communications related to Candela Academy
- Serve as point of contact with distributors on registration as required; Working with external agency
Faculty Support & Content Management
- Support faculty with travel arrangements, academy planning and program.
- Track and collect all faculty presentations for Candela Academy and regional programs.
- Manage routing of presentations for appropriate content development and review
Knowledge/Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination, marketing operations, or webinar management
- Experience supporting medical education programs, physician/KOL engagement, or professional congresses within healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries
- Proficiency with event/webinar platforms (e.g., ON24, Zoom, Cvent) and productivity tools (Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar); Comfortable working in CRM systems (SalesForce, Marketo) and program
- Professional and polished when interacting with physicians, KOLs, and senior internal stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams including marketing, clinical, sales, finance, and agencies
- Strong project coordination skills with experience managing complex logistics and multi-step initiatives, e.g.; organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on details, track deliverables, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently while coordinating across multiple teams.
- Works effectively within a matrixed, global organization; builds internal/external relations, demonstrated influencing, and collaboration skills sets to drive decisions, and establish credibility
- Able to work in an environment where sharing responsibility for success and failure of others on the team
- Conversant in the English language, verbal/written communication; exhibits excellent presentation, analytical and organizational skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills, demonstrated command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Able to travel internationally to support live events and workshops
