Client Description:
Our client is a mid-size international industrial manufacturing group with operations across Europe and the USA.
The business operates in a demanding production environment where quality, output reliability, and customer delivery performance are commercially critical.
The structure combines international leadership oversight with regional manufacturing operations, making this a highly visible assignment within a cross-border organisation.

- Take control of a manufacturing operation in the escalation stage following factory relocation, output instability, and customer pressure.
- Lead the ramp-up in a more disciplined and controlled way, restoring production flow, process reliability, and product quality.
- Rebuild shopfloor discipline, frontline accountability, and leadership effectiveness across shifts and production teams.
- Drive recovery across safety, quality, manufacturing, fulfilment, and internal logistics.
- Implement practical project management across line stabilisation, workforce cross-training, daily performance routines, and structured recovery milestones.
- Diagnose capability gaps, leadership weaknesses, role mismatches, and operational bottlenecks, then execute corrective action quickly.
- Create the conditions for sustainable succession and continuity once the site has been stabilised.
Manager Skills:
- Proven experience as Interim Plant Manager, Plant Director, Site Director, Operations Director, or turnaround-focused interim executive in manufacturing.
- Strong track record in factory relocation, post-transfer stabilisation, or ramp-up of operations.
- Hands-on crisis management experience in manufacturing environments under customer, quality, or output pressure.
- Able to restore shopfloor discipline fast, with visible leadership and strong frontline presence.
- Deep understanding of plant performance, line stability, quality recovery, workforce capability, and production control.
- Strong project management skills in live operations, coordinating recovery actions across functions without losing pace.
- Comfortable making difficult decisions around leadership fit, workforce performance, role redesign, and accountability.
- Strong grounding in operational excellence, Lean routines, KPIs, standard work, and daily performance management.
- Credible with senior stakeholders, practical with frontline teams, and calm under pressure during escalation.
- Well-suited to an international reporting structure where local execution and cross-border transformation must work together.
