At Thoughtly we're looking for a Demand Gen Manager to join our team.
About Thoughtly
Thoughtly is the AI-native voice platform that's turning every lead into a real conversation. Thoughtly's agents call, qualify, and convert pipeline at scale — no SDRs, no static funnels, no code required. For the first time in our customers' history, they can reach 100% of all leads. Enterprise teams at 2U, Siemens, and Nomad are augmenting their outbound teams with Thoughtly, with customers seeing close rates jump from 16% to 38% on their lowest-rated leads.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build for a $1T annual market. Voice was just the beginning — Thoughtly is building the first fully autonomous CRM. It doesn't just track work — it does the work. The system of record becomes the system of action. This seed-stage rocket ship is backed by top investors like Armory Square Ventures, Afore, and Greycroft.
About The Role
As Thoughtly’s first Demand Generation Manager, you’ll build the marketing engine that gets our product in front of the right 200 accounts — and makes sure they pick up the phone. Your impact will be direct and measurable: pipeline sourced, pipeline influenced, deals closed. No vanity metrics, no “brand awareness” hand-waving.
We don’t need broad-funnel lead gen — we need precision ABM that gets VP-level buyers at insurance carriers, edtech, and real estate brokerages into demos. When you do this job right, you’ll be the reason Thoughtly becomes the default conversational CRM for every GTM team.
What You'll Do
- Own and maintain the data layer: hygiene, enrichment (Clay/Clearbit), and ICP segmentation so every campaign hits the right accounts with the right context
- Manage paid channels with a strict ICP filter: LinkedIn ABM, Google, newsletter sponsorships, podcast placements. No spray-and-pray
- Instrument campaign tracking end-to-end: UTMs, conversion events, offline attribution — so we actually know what's working
- Build and own the pipeline reporting dashboard in HubSpot
- Coordinate with AEs on account-level plays: who needs air cover, who's warming up, who's about to go dark
- Own Thoughtly's GEO strategy and visibility in AI search
- Work with our Product Marketing Manager to turn competitive intelligence and case studies into campaign fuel
- Kill underperforming spend ruthlessly. Double down on what actually sources pipeline
Required Experience
- 3+ years in B2B demand gen or growth marketing at a SaaS company selling at $25K+ ACV — you’ve owned pipeline, not just MQLs
- Hands-on ABM experience: you’ve built target account lists, run multi-channel campaigns against them, and can show the pipeline that came out the other side
- Deep HubSpot operations experience (workflows, properties, attribution, reporting)
- Experience building/maintaining marketing data models and segmentation
- Strong analytical skills: you can build attribution models, calculate CAC payback, and make budget reallocation decisions based on data, not gut
- Self-starter who’s built a demand gen function from scratch, not just optimized an existing one
- Demonstrated smarts - either in school, in a side hustle, or some other way you’ve shown you learn quickly, deeply, and well
- You use AI tools hourly for marketing workflows — not just “aware of AI,” but actively designing campaigns and automations around them
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the conversational AI / voice AI space (Retell, Vapi, Bland AI, Replicant)
- Experience with GEO/AEO — optimizing for AI answer engines, not just Google
- You’ve worked at an early stage company where “marketing team” meant you and maybe one other person
Compensation
Thoughtly's compensation package includes a competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for all full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits. Our compensation range for this role is: $130,000 – $170,000. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
