Role Description
This internship role as an HR Intern is based on-site in Nashville, TN. The HR Intern will assist with essential non-confidential HR functions, providing valuable experience and exposure to HR in the music industry.
Duties:
- Gain understanding of various HR functions, including recruitment, development, benefits, policies, and compliance.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including but not limited to: drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting initial HR interviews.
- Assigned steps in onboarding process including, but not limited to: benefits emails, coordinating equipment, and preparing welcome gifts.
- Assist with administrative portion of developing job architecture, competencies, and career paths.
- Exposure to benefits administration by assisting with tasks such as filtering benefits questions.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including planning events and creating the HR newsletter.
- Assigned projects or tasks as needed, ranging from research on compliance to health & safety plans.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- At least one year in an HR, industrial psychology, organizational leadership, or related program preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of basic HR functions.
- Experience in the music industry preferred, but not required.
Required Skills:
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently; must be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to maintain high confidentiality.
Education:
- Currently pursuing or graduated with degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Leadership, and/or Business Management preferred, but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
