Our client, a leader in luxury beauty and fragrance, is looking to bring on a contractor to support their Free-Standing Store expansion. This is a 2.5 month contract but will likely extend for the right person. The team is 4 days onsite + 1 day remote, in their NYC offices, the selected candidate must be willing to work in office.

FSS Assistant Manager:
This role is a dynamic support position bridging Strategic Finance, Project Coordination, and Marketing Execution. It requires a candidate who can manage complex trackers and logistics while providing the data-driven insights necessary to keep the FSS channel running smoothly.
1. Financial Support & P&L Tracking
While the Manager owns the P&L, the Assistant Manager is the "engine" behind the data, ensuring all financial inputs are accurate and up-to-date.
- Performance Monitoring: Consolidates weekly and monthly sales data vs. plan; flags variances and prepares preliminary reports for leadership review.
- Budget Maintenance: Tracks expenditures against the annual budget, manages invoice processing (PO/SAP), and monitors CapEx spending for store projects.
- Data Analysis: Pulls and analyzes granular reports to assist in weekly reporting, building business cases and ROI projections for new store investments.
2. Project Coordination (NSO & Relocations)
The Assistant Manager serves as the primary coordinator for the New Store Opening (NSO) and Relocation lifecycle, ensuring no detail is missed.
- Timeline Management: Maintains the master project tracker, following up with Store Design, Buildout, and Field teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Logistics & Fulfillment: Executes collateral ordering (Source4) and tracks VM element shipments; ensures all merchandise (saleable/non-saleable) arrives on schedule for store turnover.
- Relocation Support: Assists in the execution of the "Buyer Transition Plan," specifically handling the data migration and CRM cleanup required during store moves.
3. Marketing Execution & Activation Support
This role transforms high-level marketing strategy into actionable store-level tools.
- Directive Distribution: Supports the creation of the FSS Experience Marketing Directive and assists in the rollout of the quarterly activations calendar.
- Launch Coordination: Acts as the tactical point person for new door marketing, coordinating with PR, Mall Marketing, and local vendors for event setups.
- VM Implementation: Supports the ideation and development, then monitors the implementation of quarterly window and interior updates, collecting feedback and photos from the field to ensure brand compliance.
4. CRM Administration & Clienteling Tools
The Assistant Manager is the custodian of the data and physical tools that empower field stylists.
- Data Hygiene: Performs regular "Data Scrubbing" and segmenting of local target cohorts for store-specific outreach and email campaigns.
- Asset Management: Coordinates the production and distribution of physical and digital clienteling deliverables (lookbooks, outreach templates, etc.).
- Campaign Tracking: Reports on the effectiveness of CRM initiatives, tracking open rates and conversion at the store level.
5. Field Liaison & Reporting Preparation
Serves as the daily "help desk" for the field and the primary preparer for executive meetings.
- Reporting Preparation: Drafts initial versions of business performance decks (Sales, CRM metrics) for the Manager to present to the President/Finance.
- Communication Hub: Aggregates content for the weekly FSS newsletter and serves as the first point of contact for field requests, triaging issues to the appropriate HQ departments.
