Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor & AI Research Intern to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. This role involves hands-on work involving AI hardware, semiconductor manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, optical systems, and more. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, design sensibility, and autonomy. You’ll work on one or more goal-oriented projects, working with our veteran team of engineers with an opportunity to collaborate across our globally distributed team.
Responsibilities
- Configure, build, and program opto-mechanical 3D machine vision systems, automate data acquisition and image reconstruction.
- Developing/applying understanding of optics, machine vision, etc, to and VIS automated microscopy platforms
- Developing automation/standardization solutions, working on ETLs and databases.
- Deconstruction and analysis of advanced AI products.
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in the hard sciences, applied physics, engineering.
- A working skillset in at least one programming language, e.g. Python, C++, Rust.
- Interest in semiconductors, electron devices, computer architecture, AI.
Preferred Skills
- A preference for hands-on work and close collaboration.
- Past experience in the semiconductor or AI domains.
- Proven ability to interpret analytical or scientific data.
- Strong organizational skills and an understanding of statistics and process controls.
