Position Overview
The Digital Media Coordinator creates, coordinates, and implements all aspects of digital and physical communications for Younique’s robust portfolio. This role requires a blend of creative storytelling and analytical thinking to foster excitement, grow audience engagement, and build relationships.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. Works cross functionally with providers, front office, team vendors and practice managers. The Coordinator is responsible for consistently projecting a favorable brand image, pursuing media relations, and ensuring a cohesive brand presence across both digital and physical channels.
Core Responsibilities
Vendor Liaison & Social Media Coordination (30%)
- Agency Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between Younique and the external social media vendor.
- Content Approval: Review and approve all content produced by the vendor to ensure it aligns with brand standards, tone, and messaging objectives.
- Media Provision: Gather and provide the necessary media assets (photos, videos, and patient stories) to the vendor for use in their scheduled posts.
- Gap Coverage: Create and publish original, non-scheduled content on days the 3rd party vendor is not posting to maintain a consistent and active online presence.
- In-Office Production: Film and produce supplemental video content in the office for use on social media, YouTube, and the company website.
Digital Marketing & Reputation Management (30%)
- Reputation Management: Responsible for updating and maintaining review sites (Yelp, RealSelf, etc.) and Google Business Profiles on a consistent and regular basis.
- Website Maintenance: Manage all content on the WordPress website, ensuring SEO is maximized in collaboration with the webmaster.
- Before & After Gallery: Create and manage the "Before and After" gallery for both in-office use and the online website gallery, ensuring high-quality presentation and organization.
- Copywriting: Write engaging, authentic copy for blog posts, press releases, and digital ads aligned with brand positioning.
Print, Grassroots & Event Marketing (20%)
- Print Collateral: Design and produce in-office marketing materials for print, including promotions, business cards, brochures, and flyers.
- Branding Materials: Create specialized branding materials for use in grassroots marketing initiatives and community events.
- Event Support: Provide key marketing support for signature events and promotions, ensuring all physical and digital assets are aligned.
Media Relations & Community Engagement (15%)
- Monthly Newsletter: Create and manage the Monthly Newsletter using the company’s newsletter platform (Constant Contact), including layout design, copywriting, and distribution.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze email, social, and web metrics (KPIs) to report on engagement levels and guide future decision-making.
- Email Calendar: Coordinate the email communications calendar and collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer on messaging.
Digital Asset Management (5%)
- Resource Management: Maintain a working knowledge of available content resources (copy, photographic, video).
- Production Coordination: Coordinate photography and videography needs for various projects and events.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing and social media management. Experience managing or liaising with external agencies is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WordPress (CMS), Constant Contact (Email), Google Business Profile, and social media management tools.
- Design & Production: Experience with graphic design for print (Canva, Adobe Suite) and filming/editing video content for social media and YouTube.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with specific strength in copywriting and editing.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data/metrics and translate findings into actionable marketing insights.
- Organization & Detail: Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Time Management: Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
· Work Environment: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Travel & Work Environment
- Primary Location: Santa Monica office.
- Travel: Occasional travel to the Oxnard location and attendance at offsite events as required. This would make up less than 5% of the time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Status: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
- Salary: $80,000 per year.
