Description
We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to support recruiting, onboarding, and core People Ops processes as we continue to grow.
This role is a chance to shape how we attract, hire, onboard, and support talent across the company, from interns through manager-level roles, while also partnering closely with the Director of People Operations to build thoughtful, efficient people processes. Recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, and People administration will be your primary focus, but your impact will extend across the full employee lifecycle.
You will own full-cycle recruiting, help design and execute a best-in-class onboarding experience, and contribute to the systems, documentation, and workflows that support our growing team. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, brings both urgency and empathy to their work, and cares deeply about building a great employee experience from day one.
Your work will directly influence our growth, culture, and operational excellence, and will play a meaningful role in shaping the future of Front Office Sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for roles across the company (intern to mid-level roles)
- Assist with sourcing, screening coordination, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
- Partner with hiring managers to keep recruiting processes moving efficiently
- Help maintain applicant tracking systems and job postings across all systems
- Ensure a strong candidate experience through timely communication and follow-up
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires (schedules, materials, systems access)
- Help ensure new hires feel set up for success in their first 30–90 days and beyond
- Partner with People Ops lead on improving onboarding experience over time success
- Assist with day-to-day HR administrative tasks (PTO tracking, employee changes, offboarding)
- Help maintain accurate employee records and documentation across systems
- Help build and develop culture (in-person and remote), engagement, and employee experience initiatives
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, talent, or people operations experience; in media, entertainment, news, or sports is a plus
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Systems and process-oriented mindset with a desire to build scalable solutions
- Passion for recruiting, onboarding, and creating exceptional employee experiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership and working independently while collaborating closely with leadership
- High attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through
- Interested in building a career in People Operations or Human Resources
- Comfortable working in-person 3 days per week in New York City
