Company Description
Inflection Network is the podcast and audio division of Inflection Point Entertainment, a culture-driven media company building across podcasts, digital video, branded content, and IP development. Inflection Point Entertainment has produced work with NBC Sports/Peacock, maintains a podcast network with iHeartMedia, and operates a growing network of creator-led shows across audio and video. Co-founded by Terrence Williams and Michael Smith (ESPN/NBC Sports), Inflection Point Entertainment strives to inspire and engage audiences through meaningful storytelling.
Role Description
This internship is designed as an immersive experience at the intersection of podcast marketing, audience growth, brand partnerships, and creator-led media. The program is intended to equip interns with practical, transferable experience in show promotion, content strategy, market research, social media execution, feed drop coordination, guest research, and performance tracking within a growing podcast network.
Over the course of the internship, the Marketing Intern will work directly with the Inflection team across active shows and network-level initiatives. The role emphasizes practical application: helping execute promotional campaigns, analyzing marketing performance, identifying collaboration opportunities, supporting social and newsletter strategy, and maintaining the systems that help a podcast network grow.
What You’ll Do
The Marketing Intern will help maintain the network promotional calendar, support feed drops, trailer drops, and promo swaps, and track performance before and after marketing activations. The role will also include researching potential podcast partners, guest opportunities, and host guesting opportunities that can support show growth.
The intern will help monitor publishing consistency across shows, cut and organize episode clips for social media platforms, identify social trends, support show-level social strategy, draft newsletter copy, and prepare short summaries of relevant podcast, media, entertainment, and advertising industry news.
What You’ll Learn
This internship offers practical experience in podcast marketing, audience growth, social content strategy, newsletter development, community engagement, feed drop execution, and network-level promotion. The intern will also learn how podcast marketing connects to brand partnerships, sponsor visibility, show positioning, and long-term audience development.
By the end of the internship, the goal is for the intern to have a working understanding of how podcast networks use content, collaboration, data, and distribution to grow shows and create commercial opportunities.
