The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating who we are and building the relationships that grow our firm — in person and digitally. Our growth comes from families and professionals who trust us enough to send us the people they care about, and this role exists to deepen that trust at every touchpoint. The right person is fluent in both worlds: equally comfortable cultivating a referral relationship with a financial advisor and running a Google Ads campaign, equally at home writing a client newsletter and tracking ROI in Google Analytics.
Responsibilities
- Build and deepen relationships with key referral partners: financial advisors, CPAs, hospital social workers, nursing home admissions coordinators, and elder care professionals
- Coordinate quarterly meetings, lunches, and educational visits between firm attorneys and referral sources
- Maintain a CRM-based referral partner database with contact cadence, history, and source attribution
- Build ongoing client relationship touchpoints: birthday cards, life-event acknowledgments, anniversary check-ins
- Champion firm culture internally: team appreciation, milestone recognitions, onboarding, and morale
- Manage online reviews across Google, Avvo, and Martindale
- Manage and optimize the firm's website (WordPress), Google Business Profile, and social media (LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Run paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook/Meta ads, retargeting) — manage budget and track ROI
- Execute SEO: on-page, local, content, and link building
- Produce blog posts, social posts, email campaigns, and newsletters in the firm's voice
- Manage email marketing platforms and CRM workflows
- Track and report monthly on KPIs and ROI by channel
- Plan, market, and execute monthly estate planning workshops and Medicaid-specific educational events
- Plan referral partner and client appreciation events
Qualifications
- 3+ years of marketing experience with real digital execution (SEO, paid ads, analytics, content)
- Proven ability to cultivate professional relationships in a B2B context
- Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, WordPress, and email marketing platforms
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable with budget management and ROI reporting
- Warm, polished, professional demeanor
- Prior legal, financial services, or estate planning industry experience preferred
- Existing Iowa-area relationships with financial advisors, CPAs, or elder care professionals preferred
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Lawmatics, Clio Grow) and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred
