This position is responsible for coordinating the logistics, execution, and member experience of Greater North Dakota Chamber programs, events, and communications. This role supports professional corporate/business events and member initiatives that advance GNDC’s mission and statewide engagement efforts.
This position is focused on operational execution, logistics coordination, timelines, and member experience — not social/lifestyle event planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple moving pieces simultaneously in a fast-paced professional environment.
Job Description
EVENT COORDINATION & MANAGEMENT
• Provide overall coordination for GNDC business events, meetings, and programs, including venue selection, production logistics, and virtual event management within approved budget parameters.
• Develop and manage event timelines, logistics, and operational details to ensure successful execution.
• Set event agendas and coordinate speakers in cooperation with team members.
• Coordinate event and meeting preparation, registration management, onsite execution, and tear-down.
• Manage attendee communications and logistical materials including agendas, packets, nametags, signage, and run-of-show execution.
• Coordinate event debrief meetings, post-event materials, sponsor follow-up, and speaker communications.
• Assist with planning and management of the annual event calendar in coordination with team members.
• Track and report relevant event data and participation metrics.
EVENT MARKETING & SPONSORSHIPS
• In cooperation with the team, establish sponsorship levels and secure sponsors for events and programs while meeting budget goals.
• Ensure sponsorship deliverables and benefits are fulfilled in coordination with the team.
• Support event attendance goals through implementation of event marketing and communication strategies.
PROGRAM COORDINATION
• Dakota Digest Newsletter
- Manage daily e-newsletter content, creation, scheduling, and publishing
- Manage advertising schedule in virtual and print media through coordination with team members
- Track member engagement and participation metrics
• Member Programs – Coordinate establishing new member programs, furthering GNDC’s mission.

· Prior experience with Canva (or similar).
· Prior experience with virtual event platforms.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must possess Microsoft Office experience – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
· Must have event coordination, project management, or marketing experience
· Must possess comfort with learning new technology or software
· A college degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, marketing, organizational leadership, public relations, or related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience will be considered.
· Generally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (though occasionally evening meetings and overnight travel will occur)
· Driver’s License and reliable transportation to arrive at work
· Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
