About the Organization
Two Broke Watch Snobs is an established watch media brand with a decade of editorial authority across web, podcast, and video. Our audience is a dedicated community of collectors and active buyers, and our work has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, GQ, and more. We are formalizing a direct advertising practice to serve brand partners who want a deeper, more deliberate relationship with our audience and we are hiring the person who will build and lead it.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced advertising professional to own our direct sales and campaign operations end to end. Reporting to the founders, you will develop the commercial strategy, build the advertiser pipeline, and manage the full lifecycle of every direct partnership from first outreach through renewal.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a direct advertising sales strategy across watch brands, retailers, watch-adjacent services, and other select categories.
- Build and manage a qualified advertiser pipeline, owning prospecting, outreach, negotiation, and close.
- Sell across the full inventory portfolio: web display, sponsored content, newsletter placements, podcast and video sponsorships, giveaways, and custom creative programs.
- Develop and maintain the media kit, rate card, and proposal materials, and price inventory against audience and performance data.
- Manage campaign delivery, including trafficking of direct-sold placements in coordination with our programmatic partner to protect overall yield.
- Provide performance reporting to advertisers and drive account retention and renewal.
- Oversee insertion orders, contracting, and billing coordination.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success selling direct advertising or sponsorships, ideally within enthusiast, trade, podcast,
- newsletter, or creator-focused media.
- Proven ability to own the complete sales cycle independently, from prospecting through close.
- Comfortable using CRM, prospecting, outreach, proposal, and reporting tools to manage advertiser pipelines, run
- outreach, build sales materials, and communicate campaign performance.
- Experience building media kits and pricing inventory against audience and traffic data.
- Sufficient category fluency, or demonstrated capacity to develop it, to engage credibly with brand marketers in the
- watch industry.
Preferred
- Existing relationships with marketing decision-makers at watch brands or retailers.
- Experience selling podcast and video sponsorships.
- Hands-on experience trafficking direct-sold campaigns and managing line items alongside a programmatic partner.
Compensation and terms
- $4,500 per month + 15% commission
- On a 1099 independent-contractor basis. Three-month initial contract with the possibility of extending into a full-time role. Fully
- remote, open to U.S.-based candidates only.
