Role Description The Newsletter Editor/Copywriter is a contract role responsible for planning, writing, and editing MMC’s recurring email newsletters and related copy.
This hybrid position is based in West Palm Beach, FL, with a mix of on-site collaboration at times and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include developing newsletter concepts and content calendars, drafting high-impact copy that reflects MMC’s voice, and curating stories that highlight upcoming events, community initiatives, and brand partnerships. The role also involves proofreading and refining content for clarity, consistency, and tone, coordinating with the marketing and community teams for accurate information, and optimizing email content for engagement and retention. The editor/copywriter will use performance metrics to iterate on content strategy and ensure newsletters deepen community connection, drive participation in MMC experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong Writing skills with experience creating engaging copy for Newsletters and brand storytelling.
- Editorial and Proofreading skills to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality content.
- Communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and basic understanding of newsletter analytics (open rates, click-through, segmentation).
- Ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences while maintaining a cohesive brand voice.
- Experience working with lifestyle, fitness, culture, or community-focused brands is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects in a hybrid work setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or relevant experience in a similar editorial/copywriting role.
