Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and three or more years of experience in admissions,
Recruiting Or Other Related Field, Is Required
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to use of computer equipment and software
- Be able to deliver Presentations
- Work in an office setting and use office equipment (i.e. printers, copiers, fax
machines, telephones)
- Maintain databases and develop reports
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may
include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting and pushing up to 25 pounds
- Completion of a physical to verify the applicant’s ability to perform the
duties of the position
- Requires a valid Michigan driver’s license acceptable to the University’s
insurance carrier
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree and five or more years of experience in admissions and recruiting is preferred
- Knowledge of nursing or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of OU graduate and undergraduate admission process
- Experience with recruiting at healthcare facilities, high schools and or college fairs
Position Purpose
To attract students across all nursing programs
Job Duties
- Works to generate student leads interested in nursing programs
through various face to face, phone, online venues providing program
benefits and admissions requirements;
- Maintains effective communication with prospective students regarding
degree programs
- Manages prospective students by maintaining extensive contacts
monitoring application progress from start to completion, identifying and
resolving problems and conducting student related internal meetings
(Maintains an applicant management system to track new information
prospective students
- Qualifies prospective students through program enrollment requirements
and admissions
- Retains the overall interest of admitted students in platforms and
student/corporate relationships through program enrollment
- Assists Graduate/Undergraduate & Associate Dean in identifying market
trends that could potentially affect recruiting strategies
- Represents the program through various presentations and attended
activates such as college fairs and community meetings
- Coordinates and may assist in creating internal and external communication
to new students leads, prospective students and admitted students via
letters, articles, newsletter support, phone and e-mail interactions
- Disseminates informational material to prospective students (i.e., admission
and financial aid applications)
- Collaborates with Director of Enrollment and Outreach on marketing/ recruiting projects and recruiting proposals and creative initiatives and updates on required marketing/recruiting project(s) needs
