Communications Intern

Position Overview
The Communications Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the Communications Department, assisting in the creation and execution of content across digital and print channels. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with exposure to storytelling, brand management, and the unique role communications plays in delivering a thoughtful, hospitality-driven member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Editorial Support
- Assist in drafting and editing content for the weekly member newsletter, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice
- Support development of website copy, event descriptions, and promotional materials that reflect the Club’s tone and commitment to service
- Help proofread and refine submissions from departments for consistency, quality, and a welcoming, member-focused perspective
Website & Digital Management
- Update website content, including event listings, dining pages, and informational updates
- Assist in maintaining accuracy and timeliness across digital platforms
- Support ongoing improvements to user experience, ensuring information is intuitive, accessible, and aligned with a hospitality mindset
Photography & Visual Content
- Capture photos and short-form video at Club events and activations, highlighting the member experience and sense of community
- Organize and maintain a digital asset library of photos and videos
- Assist in selecting and editing visuals that convey warmth, energy, and the Club’s distinctive atmosphere
Social Media
- Support content planning, drafting captions, and scheduling posts across platforms
- Monitor engagement and assist in responding to comments or messages in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner
- Contribute ideas for creative, engaging content that showcases Club life and elevates the member experience
Project Coordination & Department Requests
- Assist in managing incoming requests from Club departments through the project management system
- Help prioritize tasks, track progress, and ensure timely follow-up
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, approaching each request with a solutions-oriented, service-first mindset
Hospitality & Member Experience
- Support on-site communications needs during events, helping ensure materials, signage, and messaging contribute to a seamless member experience
- Observe and identify opportunities where communication can enhance service, clarity, and overall member satisfaction
- Represent the Communications team with professionalism and a warm, welcoming presence when interacting with members and staff
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- Interest in storytelling, hospitality, and member experience
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with photography, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CMS platforms is a plus
