About The Role
The Content Marketing Manager develops the content engine for a technology business, translating complex products, technical concepts, and customer problems into clear, credible stories that drive awareness, organic traffic, and qualified demand.
The role owns content strategy across the funnel, from SEO-led acquisition and technical thought leadership to product education, customer proof points, and sales enablement. The team works closely with product marketing, subject-matter experts, demand generation, and design to turn insight into measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a quarterly content strategy spanning blog posts, technical guides, ebooks, case studies, webinars, email programs, and sales enablement assets
- Create and edit high-quality content that explains technical products, workflows, APIs, data use cases, and industry trends for both technical and business audiences
- Own the editorial calendar and content production workflow in tools such as Asana, Notion, Airtable, or Jira, coordinating freelance writers, agencies, designers, and internal contributors
- Develop SEO programs using platforms such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, or Clearscope, including keyword research, topic clustering, on-page optimization, and content refreshes
- Partner with product marketing and subject-matter experts to translate product launches, customer insights, and competitive research into differentiated messaging
- Measure content performance through traffic, rankings, engagement, conversion, influenced pipeline, and attribution reporting in HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar systems
- Test headlines, formats, calls to action, distribution channels, and landing-page experiences to improve content conversion and contribution to demand generation
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of content marketing experience in a B2B or B2C technology company, with ownership of multi-channel content programs
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make technical subjects accessible without sacrificing accuracy
- Hands-on experience with SEO strategy, keyword research, content management systems such as WordPress or Webflow, and analytics tools such as GA4 and Google Search Console
- Experience producing content across the funnel, including thought leadership, technical explainers, customer case studies, product content, and sales collateral
- Strong project-management skills and experience managing editorial calendars, creative reviews, external vendors, and multiple deadlines
- Comfort using performance data to prioritize content investments and communicate results to marketing and company leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field; equivalent professional experience accepted. Bonus: experience with developer-focused products, AI, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data platforms, or marketing automation; familiarity with HTML, Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Ahrefs, Semrush, or Webflow
