ATPE is seeking a Marketing & Engagement Specialist to help connect, inform, and support our members through engaging communications, professional learning opportunities, and digital engagement platforms. This position plays a key role in enhancing the member experience by delivering timely communications, maintaining member-facing technology tools, and supporting programs that help Texas educators succeed.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team while managing a variety of communications, technology, and member engagement projects. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent writing and editing skills who is excited about leveraging digital tools to create meaningful member experiences.
What You'll Do
As the Marketing & Engagement Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting ATPE's communications and engagement strategy. The ATPE Marketing & Engagement Specialist’s key responsibilities are to:
- Write, edit, and coordinate member communications, including newsletters, announcements, emails, and marketing content.
- Support ATPE's marketing efforts through email campaigns, social media content, basic graphic and video creation, and analytics reporting.
- Maintain and support member engagement platforms, including an online community, learning management system, mobile app, and closed AI assistant.
- Assist members by responding to inquiries and ensuring digital resources remain current, accessible, and valuable.
- Promote and facilitate webinars, virtual learning experiences, and other member engagement opportunities.
- Support project management and administrative functions within the Marketing & Engagement team.
- Represent ATPE at member events, educator orientations, and association activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, content management systems, HTML, Zoom, and Canva.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Passion for serving members and delivering exceptional customer service.
Work Environment
This hybrid position requires residency within the surrounding Austin, area. Some travel may be required for meetings, events, and member activities.
