Products Communications Specialist
The Product Communications Specialist serves as the connective layer between product, marketing, and client-facing teams — ensuring product changes are clearly communicated and trained on internally and externally, that sales and marketing materials stay product-aligned, and that client-focused decisions across product and marketing are grounded in reliable data.
WHAT WILL I DO?
Communication & Enablement
- Serve as the connective layer between product, marketing, sales, and client-facing teams on releases, roadmap changes, and product updates.
- Draft release notes, FAQs, launch readiness checklists, and internal/client-facing announcements.
- Translate technical product detail into audience-appropriate messaging for internal teams, clients, and leadership.
Product Training
- Build and maintain training materials (guides, decks, walkthroughs) for new and existing products/features.
- Coordinate onboarding and enablement sessions for internal teams (sales, support, client success).
- Keep a knowledge base current as products evolve.
Marketing Support
- Partner with marketing to develop product-related content: one-pagers, sales enablement collateral, and various other channel-appropriate materials.
- Ensure marketing materials accurately reflect product functionality and positioning.
- Support go-to-market coordination for new releases (messaging, timing, alignment).
- Assist in campaign development by contributing product expertise, messaging input, and content drafting. Support and collaborate on the creative and visual design work owned by the Marketing team.
- Marketing responsibilities are specific to product launches and product-driven decisions.
Data & Analytics
- Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reports that surface product usage, adoption, and performance data, including service attachment rate and sales/account manager performance against attachment targets, to support product strategy, roadmap decisions, marketing campaigns, and training initiatives.
- Partner with product leadership to define and monitor KPIs/OKRs across the product portfolio.
- Proficiency in Power BI is required; this role owns the reporting layer, not the underlying data infrastructure.
WHAT DO I NEED?
- Minimum two years in product operations, product marketing, technical communication or a related cross-functional role.
- Experience building training/enablement content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on proficiency with data/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar), able to build and maintain dashboards independently without analyst support.
- Clear written and verbal communicator, able to adapt tone across internal, client, and leadership audiences.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities in a fast-moving product environment.
- Prior experience with Advertising Agency preferred.
- Residence in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan area, Hybrid, 3 days a week in office.
