Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to complete all payroll processing work and maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction for all Quatrro clients. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing both US and Canadian payrolls.
This is a remote role, with preference given to candidates in the Chicago, Detroit, or Atlanta metro areas. Please note that only candidates living in the US will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively provide world-class customer service to both internal and external clients
- Accurately enter and process all appropriate data (new hires, terminations, rate changes, etc.) for assigned clients for a timely complete payroll submission
- Review material for completeness and accuracy, and obtain missing information when necessary
- Partner with an offshore shared services team as needed to support the process and ensure submission of payroll as per deadlines
- Provide appropriate reports, deposit checks, and other needed information to the client after each payroll run
- Maintain updated process documentation for each client, as appropriate
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues and/or questions from internal and external clients.Provide timely responses, including proactively providing status updates for all items
- Addressclient concerns and issues to ensure they are resolved promptly and dealt with according to client satisfaction
- Take ownership of all operations and deadlines for each assigned client
- Gather and process all appropriate documentation to calculate child support payments, tax levies, and garnishment requests
- Complete the filing of any applicable third-party payments promptly
- Process and file weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and off-cycle reports, including W-2 forms
- Ensure all payroll-related functions are completed in compliance with internal and external regulations
- Assist in the transition of new payroll clients and set up as requested
- Maintain a high standard of quality payroll processing for Quatrro's clients
Qualifications:
Required:
- A 2-year degree in accounting, finance, human resources management, or a similar field is required; a 4-year degree is preferred
- Minimum of 5years of experience in payroll processing, including payroll tax experience and garnishments
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Well-versed in both US and Canadian payroll processes and requirements
- Proven experience processing payroll for multiple clients and/or multiple locations (experience with multiple manufacturing plants a plus)
- Proficiency with multiple HRIS and payroll systems (Paylocity a plus)
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and functionin a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
- Experienced in creating processes and efficiencies
- Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Preferred:
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and/or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
- Experience with Paylocity
- Experience processing payroll for multiple manufacturing plants across multiple states and Canada is ideal
