Position Title: Development and Marketing Coordinator
Supervisor: Development Director
Classification: Full Time/Permanent/Non-Exempt Position Pay Range: $26-29 per hour
Position Summary: Working closely with the Development Director, the Development and Marketing Coordinator supports multiple departments across the organization by generating marketing and communications materials; providing assistance with trainings, workshops, and conferences; supporting donor engagement and events; and developing agency grant opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Marketing and Communications
- In partnership with the Development Director, oversee CornerHouse website content, keeping events updated
- In partnership with the Development Director, develop content and maintain inventory for all agency collateral
- Maintain communications calendar and schedule social media and newsletter content
- Promote and market CornerHouse prevention workshops and trainings to segmented audiences
- Create and order business cards and nametags for new staff
Donor Relations
- Work with the Development Director to develop annual fund campaigns that engage and cultivate annual fund donors ($1 – $999+)
- Create direct mail pieces and orchestrate production and fulfillment for annual campaigns
- Create and execute social media campaign strategies for annual campaigns
- Support special events and donor events
- Assist the Development Director with donor outreach activities and creation of a first-time donor onboarding strategy
- Perform prospect research and organize data into efficient donor profiles in partnership with the Development Director
- Support in managing, updating, and ensuring accuracy of donor database, recording all donor interaction and providing donation information, including a weekly donation report, to the Development Director and Executive Director/CEO
- Participate in donation reconciliation processes with the finance team
- Process and mail thank you letters in a timely manner
Training Support
- Closely works with the Training Director to create marketing materials such as newsletters, flyers, etc. for CornerHouse workshops and trainings
- Manage online learning platforms and provide technical support for training participants
- Support the Prevention Coordinator and the Training Director as needed as the point of contact for trainees by responding to inquiries, managing scheduling, providing certificates, etc., as well as to support learners during in-person trainings
- Support the coordination of conferences, workshops, etc. when a CornerHouse trainer is requested
- Support the training evaluation process and develop training data reports
Grant Writing and Coordination
- Research new funding opportunities on a local, state, and federal level, actively searching for grant opportunities to support CornerHouse operations, programs, staff, and mission
- Draft proposals/LOI and grant application narratives, collaborating with program staff, finance staff, and the Executive Director/CEO to complete
- Submit grant applications via paper or online portals, and maintain list of relevant proposal passwords
- Maintain master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence
- Maintain library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, IRS forms, Board/staff diversity lists, etc.
- Work with the Executive Director/CEO and Development Director to maintain funder reporting requirements, taking responsibility for meeting high standards of timeliness and completeness
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in development, communications, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience on a fundraising and/or communications team
• Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage several simultaneous project tasks, milestones, and deadlines efficiently
• Proficiency working within donor or client management software and experience with data hygiene processes
• Experience providing event support
• Strong writing skills with the ability to generate interest in the company or program and reach out to appropriate business partners
• Experience managing social media channels for a brand
• Experience developing, segmenting, and scheduling newsletters
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Team player, self-starter
• Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn and utilize database systems
