The Opportunity
As a Copywriter at Careington, you will be an essential member of our growing, in-house corporate communications team. This position works under the Director of Corporate Communications and reports to the Marketing Content Manager. The copywriter works with their brand success team on a variety of projects to support all companies and brands within that BST. In this role you will be challenged daily to create, innovate, collaborate, learn and grow.
This is a hybrid role that will be worked onsite 3x a week Tuesday-Thursday at our Corporate office located in Frisco, TX.
Role & Responsibilities
- Write copy to support B2B and B2C communication efforts (solicitation, email, website, newsletter, direct mail, video)
- Work closely with the print and digital design teams to create and implement the overall look and feel of marketing and communications materials
- Develop unique, new concepts
- Create copy templates for ongoing use in consumer communications
- Establish strong relationships across departments and develop an understanding of client needs, the consumer experience, marketing strategy and operational capabilities.
- Regular collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure needs are met.
Qualifications
- Degree in journalism, communications, advertising or other applicable field of study
- 1-2 years of professional copywriting experience-preferred
- Job-type: permanent, full-time, hybrid, 3x days in office, 2x days home.
- Ability to utilize different tones of voice and tailor messaging to specific audiences, objectives and marketing pieces.
- B2B writing experience desired.
- Brand strategy and implementation support experience is a PLUS.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Able to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high-quality work and projecting an enthusiastic, passionate and positive attitude
