Job Requirements
Position Summary
Responsible for support of financial monitoring and reporting for Upstate Carolina NCI Oncology Research Program (UC-NCORP) grant in accordance with associated Federal guidelines and Institutional policies and procedures. Performs and/or coordinates complex professional duties in the creation and maintenance of restricted fund accounting records, verification, and documentation of restricted fund financial transactions and assists in the preparation and management of restricted account budgets. Candidate must be organized and able to understand financial statements. This position will report to a UC-NCORP Administrator and will work closely with the Business Office, Financial Services, Research Team and UC-NCORP affiliate sites. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, high proficiency in automated accounting systems, and competency with Microsoft Excel. Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently to achieve goals and objectives. Other responsibility include maintenance of UC-NCORP website in collaboration with Marketing department.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management or Health Services
Experience
- 1-3 Administration Experience
License/Registration/Certifications

- Master’s degree in business or health administration
Preferred Experience
- 1-3 years Clinical Research Experience
Preferred License/Registration/Certifications
- Certification in Clinical Research (CCRP, CCRC, etc.)
- Certification in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC)
Core Job Responsibilities
- Track research site accruals for UC-NCORP
- Track payments for UC-NCORP affiliate sites
- Facilitate reimbursement pertaining to the UC-NCORP grant (i.e., travel reimbursements, accrual payments)
- Maintain website for the UC-NCORP including clinical trial list, newsletters, and policies
- Produce and disseminate monthly NCORP newsletter, The Connector
- Facilitate and track time and effort tracking for all affiliate site team members
- Support maintenance of UC-NCORP policies
- Prepare monthly physician accrual and referral reports
- Submit research treatment accruals to the Cancer Data Management team
- Update disease site schemas with available clinical trials to support dissemination of information
- Support quarterly reports for Cancer Care Committee, related to Commission on Cancer accreditation
- Update communication boards at sites with upcoming events and recognitions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Proficiency with Clinical Trial Management System
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
- Other duties as assigned
