About Life of FlowLife of Flow is an established lifestyle and medical science podcast hosted by Dr. Miguel Montero-Baker and Dr. Lucas M. Ferrer-Cardona, two board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeons. Over the past two years, we have built a dedicated audience of medical professionals—primarily in the vascular and peripheral vascular space—delivering weekly conversations on clinical innovation, physician entrepreneurship, wellness, and life beyond the operating room.
Our show features interviews with leading physicians, medical device entrepreneurs, healthcare innovators, and thought leaders. We publish across all major platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and maintain an active presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
Position OverviewWe are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial Podcast Business Manager to take ownership of the business side of our podcast operations. This role focuses on content strategy, scheduling, sponsorship development, digital product creation, and financial management. Note: We have an existing production team that handles all audio/video editing, post-production, and social media distribution, as well as a separate team managing our live events.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with business acumen and a proactive, self-directed approach. You will work directly with our two physician hosts, managing schedules around demanding surgical practices while scaling the podcast into a broader media and education brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy & Scheduling- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with audience interests and growth goals
- Coordinate batch recording schedules for both hosts (recording sessions every two months), working around demanding surgical calendars
- Manage guest outreach, booking, and pre-production coordination
- Develop episode themes, series concepts, and content calendar
- Liaise with production team to ensure seamless workflow from recording to publication
Sponsorship & Revenue Development- Manage existing relationships with medical device company sponsors
- Develop and execute a sponsorship acquisition strategy targeting non-traditional sponsors outside the medical device industry (luxury brands, financial services, wellness, automotive, travel) seeking access to high-income medical professionals
- Create sponsorship packages, pitch decks, and rate cards
- Conduct outreach and sales calls with prospective sponsors
- Negotiate contracts and manage ad delivery and fulfillment
Digital Product Development- Conceptualize, develop, and launch digital products (courses, membership programs, educational content, merchandise)
- Identify revenue opportunities that align with our audience of medical professionals
- Build and manage email list and newsletter strategy
Live Event Coordination- Serve as the liaison between podcast operations and our in-person event team for our Mexico City event (August 2025)
- Coordinate podcast-related content, sponsorship integrations, and promotional alignment with the event planning team
- Ensure brand consistency and identify cross-promotional opportunities between the podcast and live event
Financial Management- Own the podcast's P&L and financial reporting
- Track revenue, expenses, and profitability across all revenue streams
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
- Provide regular financial updates and performance metrics to hosts
Required Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in media business development, sponsorship sales, or podcast/content business management
- Proven track record in sponsorship sales or business development
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Financial literacy—comfortable with P&L management, budgeting, and basic accounting
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work autonomously
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with healthcare, medical, or B2B professional audiences
- Experience developing and launching digital products or courses
- Familiarity with the medical device or healthcare industry
- Spanish language proficiency (helpful but not required)
- Existing network of contacts in advertising, sponsorship, or brand partnerships
