The Internal Employee Communications Manager will develop and manage communication strategies that drive employee understanding, engagement, and adoption of internal programs. This role ensures employees know how to participate in available services, understand eligibility and safety guidelines, and receive clear, timely updates. The manager will facilitate smooth communication across multiple internal channels, support feedback loops, celebrate program milestones, and help employees contribute meaningfully to an evolving experience.
The Basics
- Duration: 6-month contract
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Location: Hybrid; based in Foster City, California
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- Extensive communications experience in an alternative technology focused transportation company is preferable, including ride-hail, autonomous vehicle, mobility, or related technology environments.
- Strong program and project management skills including ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and complex cross-functional deliverables.
- Proven ability to translate complex or technical concepts into clear, digestible, and engaging messaging for diverse internal audiences.

- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of experience in internal communications for rideshare or vehicle technology company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams and levels
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities\
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage cross-functional relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the internal ridership communications strategy and execution roadmap.
- Lead end-to-end internal rider campaigns, including planning, timeline management, content creation, and executive reviews.
- Create and maintain messaging such as participation instructions, FAQs, intranet content, all-hands updates, newsletter items, Slack communications, and other relevant internal collateral.
- Present complex program information in clear, engaging formats to boost internal ridership and support early operational insights.
- Collaborate closely with Program Management, Policy, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Research teams to ensure alignment on program goals, updates, and success metrics.
- Maintain communication channels for rider support, issue reporting, feedback, and program milestone recognition.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
