Department Summary
The Program Specialist for the Riordan Programs will have the responsibility of assisting with the coordination of our Riordan Scholars, Fellows and College to Career Program and Alumni support program identify potential challenges and barriers to program implementation and solicit suggestions for improvement. Administer and support the Riordan Programs. The Program Specialist under the guidance of the Executive Director. Develop a process of support for Riordan alumni. Additional duties will include to engage in grant writing, event fundraising and newsletter reports for Riordan Programs. The position is funded by a 3-year grant.

Salary & Compensation
- UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. - Contracts & Grants Knowledge of regulations regarding contract and grant administration. (Required)
- Volunteer Demonstrated ability to build cooperative, effective relationships with volunteers in a volunteer-driven organization. Experience working and training volunteers. (Required)
- Skills in prioritizing numerous tasks to maintain organization and efficiency in completing work in a timely manner. (Required)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. (Required)
- Experience with evaluations, assessments and program surveys. (Required)
- Experience working with diverse and under-served populations, particularly with college students. (Required)
- Experience responding to volunteer inquiries. (Required)
- Ability to do research quickly and to use contact management databases. (Required)
- Ability to keep confidential and privileged information. (Required)
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach. (Required)
- Ability to gather information necessary for resolving questions and solving problems. (Required)
- Skill and resourcefulness in using references to gather needed information to complete projects. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
Special Conditions for Employment
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
Schedule
Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
