Position Summary
The BIA of Lancaster County Member Engagement Coordinator leads membership retention, engagement, and recruitment-support efforts for the Association. This position serves as the primary staff liaison for member experience, ensuring strong onboarding, consistent communication, and active participation across councils and committees.
The role focuses on proactive engagement, revenue protection, and strengthening member value in alignment with the Association’s strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Retention & Growth
- Manage membership renewals and follow-up outreach
- Coordinate onboarding process for new members
- Track member participation and engagement metrics
- Identify disengaged members and initiate outreach
- Support recruitment efforts and prospect follow-up
- Maintain accurate membership database records
Member Engagement & Council Support
- Serve as staff liaison to assigned councils and committees (e.g., Remodelers Council, NextGen, Building Empowerment, Membership Committee)
- Coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, and materials
- Record minutes and track action items
- Support implementation of committee-driven initiatives
Communications & Member Value
- Draft and coordinate member-focused communications
- Collaborate with Communications staff to promote events and programs
- Support newsletter content related to member engagement
- Maintain updated member-facing materials and resources
Event & Program Support
- Assist with registration oversight and attendee coordination
- Support education programs and networking events
- Coordinate sponsor recognition tracking as assigned
- Provide member follow-up after key programs
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the Association Management System (AMS)
- Prepare membership reports for Executive Officer and Board of Directors
- Track retention rates and engagement benchmarks
- Assist with annual membership forecasting
- Upload and maintain membership records with PBA and NAHB (state and national) systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in membership services, association management, customer relations, or related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with database/CRM systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable engaging with volunteer leadership
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
$50,000 – $55,000 annually, based on experience. This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt position eligible for overtime.

Additional Information
The BIA Office is located on the second floor, accessible only by stairs. While this role is primarily office-based with regular interaction with members and volunteer leadership, the position may require occasional early morning or evening hours to support Association events.
