The Marketing & Communications Specialist will have exceptional writing skills as well as social media experience and a high degree of resourcefulness. The ideal candidate will be a team player, tech and website savvy, an excellent communicator, and highly detail oriented.
The Marketing & Communications Specialist will report directly to the firm’s Media Relations Manager and collaborate closely with the entire Marketing & Business Development department as well as with the firm’s lawyers and other business professional departments at the firm.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Media Relations Manager and the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer to help maintain the firm’s social media platforms, including drafting and posting content, and compile the firm’s internal newsletter.
- Work closely with the Marketing Technology, Business Development and Events teams to execute regular updates of the firm’s website content, including lawyer bios, practice descriptions, and news items.
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate with the Media Relations Manager and overall marketing team on firm press releases, award submissions, and other internal and external communications.
- Provide timely, accurate and high-quality work while managing multiple projects.
- Support the overall marketing and business development team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Marketing, Business or Communications.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a marketing/communications role in professional services, ideally at a law firm or a PR agency supporting law firm clients.
- Experience maintaining company social media accounts, particularly LinkedIn.
- Exceptionally strong writing and communications skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to respond in an organized manner to time-sensitive requests.
- Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to understand Brown Rudnick’s business priorities, practices, and related market dynamics.
- Strong commitment to client service.
- High level of proficiency with all Microsoft programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with social media platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram; experience with Vuture or similar email marketing tool; familiarity with InDesign or Canva a plus.

Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $55,000-70,000.
