Position Overview
Under the direction of the Assistant Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in our US marketing initiatives by performing a diverse range of marketing and communication tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Marketing – Trade Show Support (45%)
- Collaborate with Trade Show Manager with tasks related to the preparation of trade shows and events, including but not limited to: preparing support materials, gathering supplies, staging materials, hotel room block management, and badge registration.
- Facilitate the creation and execution of Matrix brand deliverables under the direction of the AMM and TSM.
- Assist in the placement of show services orders as identified by the Trade Show Manager.
- Support internal trade show-related communications, including post-show surveys and the Trade Show & Events Update newsletter.
Marketing Communications (35%)
- Monitor social media pages for relevant industry content
- Support digital marketing strategic growth goals – work with Assistant Marketing Manager (AMM) to project-manage email marketing and social media assets, and export, organize and analyze performance reports.
- Under the direction of AMM, the Marketing Specialist will be involved in planning, gathering, and publishing content for bi-monthly Connections newsletter.
- Maintain and update partner databases: company profiles, product descriptions, etc.
- Assist in the management of CRM contacts & marketing lists under the direction of the AMM.
Marketing & Sales Support (15%)
- Project management of sales team and dealer network special projects as defined by Marketing Manager and AMM.
- Work collaboratively with sales team in the identification, collection and cataloging of showcase content as defined by marketing plan.
- Maintain Marketing Resource Center, Promo Item Portal and other 3rd party support digital storefronts.
- Management of user access to available marketing tools: Matrix Experience App, Box, and others as needed.
Marginal Job Functions (5%)
- Other projects as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- 4-year degree in marketing, marketing research, communications or related field required
Experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing support functions preferred
Other Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for local travel
- Position will be subjected to pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks. Must be able to successfully pass MVR checks to drive on behalf of the company.
- Microsoft Office Suite required
- Occasional domestic travel required
