Role Overview
The Internal Communications Manager leads the planning and execution of enterprise-wide internal communications strategies aligned with the company’s brand, corporate culture, and business goals. This role oversees the creation, editing, and distribution of written and visual content for the internal brand Our Mundo and its communication channels, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and inspired in a timely, compelling way. The role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders, establishes best practices and KPIs, and drives continuous improvement across organizational communications.
This is a project/limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Key Responsibilities
Our Mundo Communications
- Lead end-to-end execution—from ideation through implementation—of internal communications strategies under the Our Mundo brand to inform, engage, and motivate employees.
- Own content strategy, production, and distribution for Our Mundo Weekly, the weekly internal newsletter.
- Manage and curate content for the iShare Our Mundo SharePoint site and the Our Mundo channel on Microsoft Viva Engage, ensuring consistency, relevance, and engagement.
- Ensure messaging is aligned across channels and tailored to diverse internal audiences.
Programming & Corporate Initiatives
- Manage internal employee activations and events tied to programming and corporate initiatives throughout the year, including show launches, awards events, and campaigns.
- Develop campaigns that reinforce company values, culture, and CSR initiatives and support employee engagement programs, ERGs, and recognition initiatives.
- Partner with HR and Corporate Affairs on culture-building initiatives
- Serve as the primary Internal Communications liaison for Sports stakeholders, with a strong focus on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Coordinate and execute the internal communications and employee engagement activations related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- Coordinate internal previews and communications for new programming launches.
- Lead and activate a group of internal employee influencers to amplify key messages and initiatives.
- Act as the primary internal communications liaison with the Telemundo Station Group.
- Supervise and mentor the Digital Communications Specialist.
- Oversee the internal communications budget and serve as the primary liaison with Finance.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Community Engagement
- Lead internal communications strategy and execution for Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
- Drive internal communications for affinity months and community initiatives, including Tu Momento. Tu Jugada, Mujeres Imparables, among others.
- Develop and execute employee communications to encourage participation in volunteer initiatives tied to NBCUnites.
Editorial Planning, Channels & Measurement
- Coordinate targeted internal email campaigns via Campaign Monitor for Corporate Affairs–related initiatives.
- Populate and manage internal communications projects within the Events Master Calendar and the editorial calendar.
- Compile and distribute internal communications announcements for the weekly report.
- Define, track, and analyze KPIs and success metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of internal communications initiatives.
- Incorporate employee feedback and performance insights to continuously improve strategy, content, and delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related function
- Experience in media, entertainment, or large matrixed organizations preferred

- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Emma)
- Familiarity with intranet/content management systems
- Experience using analytics tools to measure engagement and communication effectiveness
- Proficiency in presentation storytelling and executive-ready materials
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, Copilot, ChatGPT or similar tools) for content drafting, message optimization, analytics insights, and workflow efficiency
