Description
The HR Operations Specialist handles a breadth of responsibilities that support the employee lifecycle, HR systems, and HR day-to-day tasks. In growth operations, the HR Operations Specialist partners with HR leadership to optimize HR processes enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Acts as a subject matter expert on the Paylocity application and functionality (Onboarding, HR & Payroll, Performance) in support of the company’s workforce management and operations
- Stays current with Paylocity’s introduction and deployment of new/enhanced system features (i.e. Elevate Newsletter, Paylocity’s knowledge center) to educate employees on changes that impact the user experience; identifies opportunities to maximize the tool in alignment with HR initiatives
- Audits and processes new hires from Paylocity’s onboarding tool to HR & Payroll; submits IT tickets for new hire emails; adds new hires to The Awards Network
- Performs ongoing Paylocity I9 re-verification audits via the dashboard tool and completes outreach/retrieval of necessary documentation for the employee file
- Assists the SVP Human Resources in set-up, deployment, and tracking of new and existing company-wide initiatives through Paylocity and other systems (i.e., monthly MoM winners, Google Review winners, annual performance appraisal)
- Inputs and processes changes in Paylocity with respect to reporting structures, job title changes, time and labor enablement and any other relevant data in Paylocity; notifies the Benefit Administrator and Payroll of role type changes (i.e., individual contributor promotion to manager level)
- Completes employment verification letters, FL unemployment claims, and other correspondence as needed
- Runs weekly termination reports and other reports as needed
- Special projects due to business needs and assigned
Education & Experience
- Minimum bachelor’s in business management or human resources management
- 5+ years human resources experience
- Understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment and HR policies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)
- Experience with HRIS tools (preferably Paylocity) and Sharepoint
