itopia is a K-12 cloud platform giving school districts a single control layer for Windows apps, SaaS, AI tools, and browser extensions. Our buyers are IT and Curriculum directors at large districts. We're building toward becoming the platform of record for the top 100 districts nationally.
THE ROLE
We've never had a dedicated marketing leader. That's not a warning — it's the opportunity. There's no community, the newsletter is dormant, outbound is manual, and webinars don't exist. You'll have a blank canvas, real budget for tools, an existing tech stack, and a CEO who will get out of your way.
You won't manage a team on day one. You'll build the system first — using AI and no-code tools to run plays that would normally require five people — then hire into what you've proven works.
Day one, you'll have six named enterprise target accounts and a mandate to build the motion that gets us in front of every decision-maker inside them.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD
- ABM engine on top of EduLead + HubSpot — enrichment, signal triggers, AI-personalized sequences
- Multi-channel plays: email, LinkedIn, direct mail, executive video, paid
- Community for K-12 IT directors and educators — from zero to active
- Webinar program, newsletter, and content engine on a predictable cadence
- Full attribution wiring across HubSpot, EduLead, and Gong so the revenue view is always live
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves:
- First or only marketing hire experience — you've built a function from scratch before
- Proven GTM systems builder — data in, automation in the middle, pipeline out
- Power user of Clay, Zapier, n8n, or Make
- Daily AI practitioner — Claude, ChatGPT, custom agents, AI inside HubSpot
- Hands-on with HubSpot and comfortable connecting it to everything else
- Experience marketing or selling SaaS to K-12, higher ed, or similar institutional buyers
- Full-stack operator: write copy, build sequences, ship landing pages, pull reports
- Measured on pipeline and revenue, not activity
Strong plus:
- Deep EdTech background and K-12 procurement knowledge
- EduLead or Gong experience
- Community building from scratch
- Ability to write code when no-code is too slow
- Leveraging AI at scale in current role or project
