Marketing and Communications Coordinator position to work within the
PaTTAN Office at the
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit! The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating PaTTAN's publications, marketing, and communications activities across print and digital platforms. This position supports the development, production, and distribution of publications and communication materials, ensuring they are accurate, accessible, timely, and aligned with established standards. The Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination among Publications, Graphics, and Communications staff across all PaTTAN offices, with oversight based at PaTTAN East. The role emphasizes collaboration, project tracking, accessibility, and consistency across communications efforts, while supporting the ongoing transition from print-based materials to more accessible, web-based formats.
Qualifications
- Minimum of BS Degree in an appropriate field (BS degree requirement may be waived with significant experience in a specialized area of position)
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in appropriate field, leadership experience preferred
- Experienced with desktop publishing and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign).
- Proficiency in web content management systems and understanding of web design/development principles.
- Skills in photography, video recording, and editing software (e.g. Canva, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop).
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, SEO, and email marketing.
- Professional performance and ethical behavior in public relations following industry standards.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop strategic marketing plans and campaigns that align with organizational goals.
- Competence in using analytics tools to measure and report on campaign success and website performance.
- Experience leading communications initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Superior communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work as a member of a team, follow directions, and follow through with completed assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and read and understand highly technical documents.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record without major traffic violations; travel to school buildings as required.
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development, production, and distribution of PaTTAN publications and marketing materials, including print and digital resources.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for publications and communications projects across all PaTTAN offices.
- Support the planning and implementation of communications activities that align with PaTTAN priorities and initiatives.
- Establish project timelines and coordinate tasks among graphic design, print production, and communications staff to support timely completion of projects.
- Track projects throughout the publication lifecycle, including editing, design, production, and distribution.
- Ensure publications and communications materials adhere to established editorial, accessibility, branding, and publishing standards.
- Collaborate with PaTTAN consultants, initiative staff, and other stakeholders to support publications and marketing efforts.
- Review materials for consistency across print, digital, web, newsletter, and social media formats.
- Coordinate with the Publications and Media Support Specialist to support communications efforts across multiple channels, including email, website content, and social media.
- Assist with communications support for PaTTAN programs, services, and state-level initiatives, including coordination with external partners as needed.
- Monitor communications activities across offices to support equitable access to publications, resources, and information.
- Coordinate updates to the Publications section of the PaTTAN website to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and current.
- Collect and review basic data or feedback related to publications and communications usage to support ongoing improvement.
- Stay informed about best practices related to digital communications and accessibility and share relevant information with team members.
- Work collaboratively with the Graphics Center Manager to coordinate production schedules and maintain accurate project records.
- Maintain organized documentation related to publications and communications projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

PaTTAN East is located at 333 Technology Dr. Malvern, PA 19355.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day, 12 months (260 - 262 days/year)
Annual Salary
$60,565/year - $71,253/year (SA2)
