About the Role
We are seeking a creative, highly organized Marketing & Community Manager to lead content creation, storytelling, digital marketing, and community engagement initiatives for a dynamic innovation focused organization.
This is a hands-on marketing role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast paced environment and enjoys bringing stories to life through content, campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a proactive project manager, and a creative thinker who can take strategic direction and independently execute impactful marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated marketing and communications campaigns across digital and in person channels.
- Create compelling content including annual reports, impact stories, donor communications, newsletters, social media content, and marketing collateral.
- Lead storytelling initiatives supported by data, metrics, and measurable outcomes.
- Manage and grow social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Coordinate and oversee freelancers, photographers, writers, and other creative resources as needed.
- Support community building efforts, events, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
- Maintain website content and support digital marketing efforts through content updates and campaign execution.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, branding, community engagement, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of project management experience, including managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Proven experience developing and executing content driven marketing campaigns.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, resourceful, and adaptable approach to problem solving.
- Enthusiasm for working onsite and building relationships within a collaborative community.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and newsletter development.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- Experience working with website content management systems and a willingness to learn basic HTML.
- Ability to bring fresh, modern content ideas and creative approaches to storytelling.
