Our financial services client is looking for a Communications Associate to work a 6-month role. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Chicago 5 days/week (role is 40 hrs/week).
Job Responsibilities:
Payments Readiness Communications:
- Build and distribute the Payments Readiness Weekly (PRW) digest, reaching ~13,000 employees.
- Review and edit editorial content to support readiness awareness and adoption.
- Work closely with global Solutions Enablement & Readiness leads, the Central Migration Office and other stakeholders to drive change awareness and adoption by managing the editorial lifecycle for critical and awareness-only news, ensuring clarity, accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
- Use Adobe Workfront workflows for intake triage, prioritization, editing, approvals and publication to maintain and adhere to requirements within the overarching projects driving PRC news.
Payments Editorial:
- Source, draft edit and publish intranet articles and other editorial content, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely approvals.
- Assist with the Payments-wide newsletter reaching ~30,000 employees, including content planning, compilation, editing, QC and publication support.
Team contribution
- Support business- and Payments-wide communications efforts (e.g., executive communications, meeting materials, etc.), ensuring clear, consistent messaging aligned to broader Payments and firmwide strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 6+ years of corporate and internal communications experience in fast-paced, regulated environments, including hands-on writing, editing and project management.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders product owners, and cross-functional teams to align messaging, approvals and timelines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Workfront (or comparable workflow tools) and enterprise broadcast email platforms to distribute large-scale communications.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to consistently deliver in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
- Action-oriented, highly responsive, with ability to pivot as business and strategy needs evolve.
- Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Strong understanding of Associated Press (AP) style guidelines .
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
Familiarity with financial services and the payments ecosystem, including change communications for product, platform and process updates. - Experience in technology communications and change management, with demonstrated ability to drive employee awareness and adoption.
- Experience supporting high-volume editorial operations (newsletters/digests) and intranet publishing in a large enterprise environment.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
