Who we are
Venture Lane is the startup hub for B2B tech founders in Boston. Venture Lane operates across three core pillars: Space, Studio, and Connex.
- Venture Lane Coworking: a curated community of 80+ early-stage B2B companies working out of our downtown office in Government Center
- Venture Lane Studio: A three to nine month hands-on program for a select number of early-stage B2B tech companies, focused on accelerating go-to-market execution, building repeatable systems, and preparing for scale.
- Venture Lane Connex: Events, content and Slack community that connects our broader network of founders, operators, investors, mentors, and service providers.
We're built and run by people who've started, scaled, and backed startups. That shapes everything, including how we hire.
The role
Building an early-stage B2B company is hard enough without doing it in isolation. Venture Lane gives founders the community, programs, and access they need.
The Marketing and Operations Manager is how all of that gets delivered.
This is a dual-function role. On the marketing side, you own brand presence, member acquisition, and community engagement across channels. On the operations side, you manage the day-to-day of the space and the systems that support our members. You report directly to the General Manager and oversee one Marketing and Operations Intern.
This is a full-time, in-person role, five days a week at our downtown Boston office. It's right for someone who can move between communicating with prospects, troubleshooting a member's account, and organizing event logistics in the same afternoon, and find all of it equally satisfying.
What you'll own
Marketing and brand
- Execute Venture Lane's content and social media strategy across LinkedIn, email, and Slack
- Write and produce the Venture Lane newsletter, event campaigns, and community communications
- Support organic content creation that reflects our voice: direct, credible, and founder-focused
- Track and report on campaign performance, member engagement, and acquisition metrics
Events
- Own end-to-end logistics for Venture Lane events, including pitch nights, panel discussions, workshops, and networking socials
- Manage pre-event promotion, day-of execution, content capture, and post-event follow-up
- Ensure every event reflects Venture Lane's brand standards and delivers measurable value to members and attendees
- Own external venue inquiries end to end: field requests from outside organizations, assess fit, and manage logistics for hosted events.
Operations and space management
- Manage day-to-day office operations: vendor contracts, supply procurement, badge permissioning, mail and package management, and kitchen upkeep
- Own member onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth and well-documented experience at both ends
- Serve as a reliable, approachable point of contact for members, addressing issues and escalating when needed
Membership sales
- Own the front end of membership sales: qualify prospects, explain membership options, and determine fit before handing off to the GM
Sponsor relations
- Support the GM in developing sponsor onboarding materials, communication workflows, and operational documentation
Project management
- Take end-to-end ownership of key initiatives from kickoff through post-project assessment
- Manage timelines, surface dependencies early, and keep deliverables on track across workstreams
Intern supervision
- Set priorities, manage output, and develop the Marketing and Operations Intern
