Company Description Napier Financial is a fiduciary wealth manager and registered investment adviser that serves complex high net worth families and family businesses. Acting as a Financial Head Coach, the firm coordinates and consolidates advice from multiple professionals, including attorneys, CPAs, insurance agents, and investment representatives. By aligning these perspectives, Napier Financial helps clients make informed, integrated decisions that support their long-term goals and dreams. The team focuses on minimizing gaps in guidance and creating dynamic financial plans that provide clarity and support financial independence. Napier Financial was founded on the belief that traditional advisory models often fall short for clients with more complex needs, and it aims to fill that gap with a highly collaborative approach.
Summary
Napier Financial is adding a permanent Marketing Associate to complement our current marketing function. This role owns the operational backbone of marketing (project management, budget, content creation, and tech tools) so strategy and content quality can stay the priority. During the Marketing Director's parental leave, this role will also take direct ownership of weekly newsletter production, social media post creation & management, written content creation/editing, and brand oversight. This is a newly created, permanent position.
Core Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning
- Build and maintain a content calendar integrating social posts, blog articles, video, and newsletter — ensuring all channels reinforce each other rather than operating in silos
- Develop quarterly/monthly content themes and campaign plans in partnership with the Marketing Director
- Identify content gaps and opportunities based on client engagement and business priorities
- Maintain & grow client relationships via event planning/hosting
Content Production — Social & Blog
- Write, film, and/or edit social media posts and written technical blog content (replacing what the agency previously handled)
- Schedule and conduct any needed recording sessions with internal subject matter experts
- Use AI tools (including Claude, Canva, and FeedHive) as a core part of the production workflow — drafting, editing, repurposing content across formats, and speeding up production without sacrificing quality
- Apply strong communication judgment to finished assets (graphics, video thumbnails, post layouts)
Event Management
- Plan and host regularly scheduled client appreciation and growth events (approx. 1-2 per quarter), designed to deepen client relationships and encourage referrals
- Own logistics end-to-end: venue/vendor coordination, invitations and RSVPs, budget tracking, day-of execution
- Serve as a key organizer for the firm’s annual Jimmy Fund golf tournament — a significant, high-visibility event requiring experienced event coordination, vendor/sponsor management, and cross-team coordination
- Maintain an events calendar integrated with the broader content calendar, so event promotion (social, newsletter, email) is planned and executed in sync
- Track event ROI (attendance, referrals generated, client feedback) and report results to the Management Team
- Plan and host internal team appreciation events (2+/year)
Approval & Refinement Workflow
- Route all content through internal review (Compliance, Marketing Director, and relevant Advisors) before publishing
- Manage revisions based on feedback; maintain version control so nothing goes live unapproved
- Schedule finalized content to go live via the content calendar/scheduling tool (FeedHive)
Client Engagement
- Assisting with client mailings (holiday cards, birthday cards, event invitations, etc.)
- Assist with client and vendor gifting program (identifying gifts, coordinating gift ordering and delivery)
- Help create and maintain a professional, welcoming office environment by assisting with office décor, keeping shared spaces polished and inviting, and supporting a positive experience for clients, colleagues, and visitors
Project, Budget & Tech Operations
- Manage production timelines and workflow across all content types
- Manage budget: tracking, forecasting, reconciliation (including the cost savings/reallocation from bringing content in-house)
- Own the marketing tech stack: CMS, Constant Contact, Canva/design tools, scheduling/publishing platform, AI tools
- Lead tech initiatives (automation, analytics, new tool adoption)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
- 3-5+ years creating content across social, blog, and email channels, ideally with some project/ops management experience
- Demonstrated fluency with AI writing/content tools (Claude or similar) as part of a real production workflow — not just casual use
- Excellent writing and editing skills; strong eye for visual design
- Experience planning/running small group events a plus
- Comfortable with video/recording basics a plus
- Experience managing an editorial or approval workflow
- Experience in financial services or a regulated industry a plus
What Success Looks Like
- Content calendar runs smoothly with social, blog, video, and newsletter working as one integrated system, not disconnected pieces
- Content moves efficiently from draft → approval → published without quality drop-offs
- Newsletter ships weekly, on schedule, with no errors, including during leave coverage
- Regularly scheduled client appreciation events run smoothly
- Marketing spend reflects efficient use of in-house production vs. prior agency costs
