- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
- Five+ years of experience in a communications role with strong writing and editing abilities – including AP style – and demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills.

What does this role look like?
This position is part of the Lockheed Martin Space Enterprise Communications team and will support Human Resources (HR) communications and the planning and execution of Employee Experience events across all U.S. Space sites. This communicator will be responsible for strategizing, creating and executing communications deliverables across various internal channels covering HR topics, and may support additional employee and functional communications priorities. This communicator will also manage and track utilization of the Experience budget in support of site-wide Experience events. Additionally, this new team member will partner with internal stakeholders and other communicators across the Lockheed Martin enterprise to achieve collective goals.
This Role Will Offer You The Following Daily Challenges
- Strategize, create and execute communications content across multiple channels including the employee intranet, digital signage, email, e-newsletters and more in alignment with the internal editorial calendar.
- Field content ideas and requests from HR stakeholders and assess alignment to strategy for content development consideration in partnership with HR Comms leader.
- Review requests to use the Employee Experience budget for strategic alignment to business objectives and approve or deny accordingly.
- Provide consult and frequent touchpoints with Experience POCs to ensure budget utilization and event execution in line with Communications guidelines and policies.
- Partner with Employee Experience team to ensure Experience POCs are provided Communications-approved deliverables in support of their events, creating deliverables as needed.
- Support other duties as assigned to help the integrated team meet its communications objectives.
Preferred
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near one of our Lockheed Martin Space facilities in either:
Denver, CO , Titusville-Space Coast, FL, King of Prussia/Valley Forge, PA , Rocket City USA: Huntsville/Courtland AL ,
or
Sunnyvale, CA .
and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
