The Senior Content Specialist serves as a key tactical contributor within the Marketing Division, focusing on the day-to-day production and execution of digital and print communications. This position is responsible for drafting, updating, and deploying content across various channels, including website pages, email marketing campaigns, and internal platforms (e.g., Navigator). The Senior Specialist ensures all communications are error-free, brand-aligned, and compliant with regulatory standards. By managing routine content updates and administrative production tasks, this role alleviates tactical burdens from senior marketing leadership, allowing them to focus on high-level strategic initiatives.
Lead:
The Lead Content Specialist serves as a strategic contributor within the Marketing Division, responsible for planning, developing, and executing high-quality content across digital and offline channels. This role goes beyond tactical production; it requires an individual to actively partner with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to craft compelling narratives that promote bank products and services. The Lead Content Specialist manages the editorial calendar for assigned channels, oversees the content development lifecycle, and ensures all messaging aligns with the bank's strategic vision, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements. This position is a key driver in reducing the operational bottleneck for marketing leadership by acting as a lead strategist for routine and mid-level communication projects.

Primary Accountabilities for Senior Content Specialist:
Content Production & Execution
- Drafts, edits, and proofreads clear, compelling, and error-free copy for digital and offline channels, including emails, website landing pages, and internal platform announcements (Navigator).
- Coordinates the execution of routine marketing communications, ensuring timely delivery and accurate formatting.
- Acts as a central point of contact for routine direct-mail requests, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure production and distribution timelines are met.
- Assists in the development and formatting of content for various digital formats, maintaining a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.
Digital & Platform Management
- Proactively manages day-to-day updates for the company website, ensuring content is relevant, accurate, and aligned with current bank messaging.
- Maintains and updates content within internal platforms (e.g., Navigator) to support effective employee and stakeholder communication.
- Troubleshoots minor platform or web issues and coordinates with technical stakeholders or agencies when complex resolutions are required.
- Audits web and email content regularly to identify and remove outdated information.
Compliance & Administrative Support
- Supports the compliance review and approval process for all assigned communication materials, serving as a point of contact for submission and tracking.
- Maintains organized archives of approved materials and supporting documentation for internal audit tracking purposes.
- Assists with the implementation of marketing policies, procedures, and resources, ensuring all outputs adhere to established bank standards.
Project Coordination
- Manages and updates project tracking systems (e.g., Asana) to ensure clear communication and on-time delivery of assigned tasks.
- Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth production workflows for multi-channel campaigns.
Primary Accountabilities for Lead Content Specialist:
Strategic Content & Editorial Management
- Leads the planning, development, and execution of high-quality content for online and offline channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and company objectives.
- Manages the editorial calendar for assigned channels, overseeing the content development process from intake to publication.
- Partners directly with product managers and subject matter experts to identify topics, craft compelling messages, and translate them into engaging digital formats.
- Writes clear, error-free, and brand-consistent content for websites, emails, and internal platforms (e.g., Navigator).
Digital Execution & Optimization
- Strategically manages day-to-day web updates and content enhancements, ensuring the user experience (UX) is optimized and aligns with industry best practices.
- Audits content regularly for redundancies or outdated information, proactively updating the CMS to maintain relevancy.
- Coordinates digital promotion efforts, including email marketing deployment and web landing page development for product-specific campaigns.
- Troubleshoots web and platform issues, serving as the primary liaison with maintenance agencies or technical stakeholders.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Maintains a comprehensive marketing archive for internal audit tracking, ensuring all materials adhere to regulatory compliance.
- Collaborates effectively with stakeholders to edit and modify copy while upholding rigorous compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Retains approved materials according to bank policy and supports the Compliance Department during audits.
Reporting & Project Liaison
- Tracks content performance metrics (e.g., views, engagement, conversion) and generates insightful reports summarizing ROI for marketing leadership.
- Acts as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth production workflows and ensure timely project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Senior Content Specialist:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred.
Lead Content Specialist:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Senior Content Specialist:
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing communications, content coordination, or digital production required.
- Experience with a Content Management System (CMS) and email marketing platforms preferred.
Lead Content Specialist:
- 6+ years of Progressively responsible experience in marketing communications, content management, or digital production required.
- Demonstrated experience with web Content Management Systems (CMS), email platforms, and project management tools (e.g., Asana/HubSpot) required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
- Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
- Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
- Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
