Campaign Marketing Manager
Company Overview:
Redwood Outdoors is a fast-growing ecommerce company specializing in premium Sauna and Cold Plunge products designed to bring the wellness benefits of heat and cold therapy to homes.
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Campaign Marketing Manager to lead promotional campaigns and product launches for Redwood Outdoors. This role owns the campaign calendar end to end — writing promotional copy, gathering and organizing creative assets, and executing multi-channel campaigns across email, SMS, paid media, and direct mail. You’ll also oversee an outside contractor who manages our automated lifecycle flows in Klaviyo, setting strategy and holding them accountable to KPIs. This is a strong fit for a DTC/ecommerce marketer with a heavy Klaviyo background who can write compelling promotional copy and turn a campaign brief into an organized, well-executed rollout across channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, write, and execute promotional campaigns and product launches across email, SMS, paid media, and direct mail
- Write and edit promotional copy — subject lines, offers, and campaign messaging — that converts, in partnership with brand and creative teams
- Own the campaign calendar — planning timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring every campaign ships on schedule
- Gather, organize, and maintain creative assets (copy, imagery, offers) for all campaigns
- Manage an outside contractor responsible for building, maintaining, and QA’ing lifecycle automation flows (welcome, post-purchase, cross-sell, loyalty) and customer segments in Klaviyo — setting strategy and briefs, reviewing performance, and holding the contractor accountable to KPIs
- Manage CRM and marketing platforms and apps such as Klaviyo, Zendesk, etc., including contractor access and permissions
- Develop test-and-learn strategies (offers, copy, creative, send times) to improve promotional campaign KPIs
- Work cross-functionally with brand, paid media, digital content, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience across campaigns
- Analyze campaign performance data to uncover insights and identify optimization opportunities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in campaign marketing, promotions, or ecommerce marketing
- Heavy background in DTC/ecommerce marketing required
- Hands-on experience with Klaviyo required
- Proven experience writing promotional marketing copy (email/SMS subject lines, offers, campaign messaging)
- Experience managing contractors, agencies, or outside vendors strongly preferred
- Strong campaign and project management skills — able to plan, organize, and drive multiple concurrent campaigns to deadline
- Proficiency with A/B testing tools and campaign reporting
- Strong analytical skills and experience reporting on campaign performance metrics
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing people, contractors, or vendor relationships
Hard Skills:
- Promotional Campaign Planning & Execution – Building and driving a campaign calendar across promotions, product launches, and always-on programs, keeping multiple workstreams on schedule.
- Promotional Copywriting – Writing and editing high-converting subject lines, offers, and campaign messaging for email and SMS.
- Klaviyo Expertise – Deep, hands-on proficiency building and deploying campaigns in Klaviyo, and directing a contractor’s flow and segmentation work within the platform.
- Creative Asset Coordination – Gathering, organizing, and tracking creative assets (copy, imagery, offers) across campaigns and channels, and partnering with brand/content teams to keep production moving.
- DTC/Ecommerce Marketing – Deep understanding of DTC funnel dynamics, online consumer behavior, and ecommerce promotional calendars.
- Data Analysis & Reporting – Analyzing campaign metrics (e.g., conversion, revenue per send, open/click rates) using tools like Google Analytics, Excel, or BI platforms.
- Vendor & Contractor Management – Briefing, directing, and holding an outside contractor accountable for lifecycle flow deliverables and KPIs.
- Paid Media & Direct Mail Coordination – Aligning campaign touchpoints with paid search, retargeting, and direct mail to create a seamless customer journey.
- A/B & Multivariate Testing – Setting up experiments to test messaging, offers, or design to optimize campaign performance.
Soft Skills:
- Project Management – Leading complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and moving parts.
- Delegation & Contractor Oversight – Setting clear direction for a contractor and holding them accountable without needing to do the hands-on build work.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Effectively working with teams like brand, paid media, and customer support to align campaign efforts.
- Strategic Thinking and Curiosity – Balancing short-term campaign wins with long-term brand and revenue goals, and continuously digging into data for insights.
- Customer-Oriented Mindset – Designing campaigns and copy from the perspective of customer needs and emotional drivers.
- Communication Skills – Writing clear, persuasive messages and communicating strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability – Staying flexible in a fast-paced, test-and-learn marketing environment.
- Results Orientation – Demonstrating a strong focus on achieving measurable business outcomes.
