About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Cvent registration expert with strong copywriting and communications skills to lead complex enterprise event registration builds for a major financial services company. This role combines registration strategy, technical site development, and clear attendee-facing content—not general event planning alone.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into effective registration strategies and clear, customer-facing copy.
- Design and manage complex Cvent builds, including multiple registration types, tracks, conditional logic, session selection, approvals, and capacity management.
- Support connected attendee experiences involving mobile apps, group travel, and check-in.
- Project-manage the site-build process and guide event planners through technical options.
- Serve as the team’s Cvent SME and escalation point; troubleshoot issues and coordinate with Cvent when needed.
- Establish reusable templates, quality standards, and best practices; coach and influence team members.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in meetings/events, event technology, or related business execution.
- 7+ years of advanced, hands-on Cvent registration experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism, per the spotlight notes.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and communications experience, including customer-facing documentation.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
- Experience with complex enterprise events, stakeholder consulting, and project management.
Preferred: Financial services experience, integrations, attendee reporting/analytics, accessibility, process improvement, and AI exposure.
