Company Description
The current healthcare model is outstanding at setting the destination. Doctors provide the diagnosis, the medication, and the plan. But the moment a patient walks out the clinic door, they enter the "Invisible Gap". They are left to navigate 99% of their care alone, dealing with social isolation, food anxiety, and burnout.
At Lifely, we are building the "Home Layer" of the healthcare stack. We connect patients living with chronic conditions—starting with Diabetes—to "Certified Care Mentors". These are peers who have lived the exact same experience, guided by our proprietary AI Safety Shield to ensure clinical boundaries are always respected.
We are currently in our early MVP stage, and we are looking for a Founding Community Lead to help us architect the most important asset in health tech: Trust.
The Philosophy of This Role
In health tech, and especially in chronic care, speed is less important than credibility. At this stage, we are not marketing a product launch or pushing hype. We are marketing a mission, a problem worth solving, and a safe community. Your goal is to build long-term authority and relationships before features are even introduced.
What You Will Do
As our Community Lead (approx. 12 hours/week), you will study our current ecosystem and execute a strategy to build a "real, alive community" around the behavioral and psychological challenges of chronic illness. You will take ownership of:
- Our People (Members & Mentors): You will nurture our early beta cohort. You will organize monthly virtual roundtables, gather patient journey insights through discovery interviews, and support our frontline Care Mentors.
- Our Voice (LinkedIn & Facebook): You will translate our mission into calm, respectful, and evidence-aware content. For LinkedIn, you will focus on the macro problem (e.g., the $412B liability of diabetes, behavioral health trends) to attract clinicians and partners. On Facebook, you will build a safe, educational haven for patients and caregivers.
- Our Deep-Dive Engine (Newsletter): You will craft a transparent, behind-the-scenes newsletter sharing our research insights, UX philosophy, and educational deep-dives (e.g., the link between stress and glucose ) without making medical claims.
Who You Are
- Zero-to-One Community Building: You have a proven track record of starting with an "empty room" and successfully onboarding, activating, and retaining early members. You know the exact playbooks for converting silent "lurkers" into regulars, and regulars into vocal champions.
- The "Super Connector" Instinct: You naturally identify who should meet whom. You know how to spot the "super-users" (our future Care Mentors) and empower them to take on leadership or advocacy roles within the community.
- Exceptional Moderation & Boundary Setting: Empathy is your foundation, but moderation is your hard skill. You know how to de-escalate emotional situations, enforce community guidelines, and expertly step in when a peer-to-peer conversation edges too close to giving unverified medical advice.
- A Scrappy Content Engine: You don’t wait for a marketing team to hand you assets. You can personally write the bi-weekly newsletter, craft thought-provoking LinkedIn posts, and spark organic daily discussions in our Facebook group or make an AI video or reels challenge. You know how to turn a complex health topic into a deeply human story.
The Offer
- Commitment: 12 hours per week (Flexible/Remote), with the opportunity to transition into a full-time, salaried role following our upcoming fundraising round.
- Compensation: Equity-based (Pre-Seed/MVP Stage). You are joining as a founding team member to build something fundamentally new in the health economics space.
If you believe that behavior is biology, and that connection is the missing instrument in healthcare, we want to build with you.
