This role contributes to the execution of marketing initiatives across social media, our website, newsletters, and promotional campaigns, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging and brand presence.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, highly-communicative, energetic, and passionate about public media, community service, and storytelling that informs, educates, and connects audiences.Accountabilities:Manage day-to-day operations of the organization’s social media channels, ensuringtimely,accurate, and mission-aligned content. This includesgenerationof social media posts.Create basic graphic assets using approved templates (e.g., Canva or Adobe Express) for use in digital communications, social media, email campaigns, and events.Coordinate live streamingscheduleand serve as primary technical director for live stream shows at WABE in partnership with Marketing, News, Radio, Events, Membership and Studios teams.Support the Senior Marketing Manager in advising internal content teams on social media best practices, platform standards, and audience engagement strategies.Draft, edit, and coordinate press releases and promotionalcommunications inalignment with organizational priorities and public media standards.Assistwith produce and distribution of multiple newsletter campaigns, coordinating content and delivery schedules across departments.Assistwith the development and execution of marketing and promotional plans that support programming, fundraising, events, and community initiatives.Serve as primary project manager and coordinator for marketing department projects as assigned.Follow and create processes for efficient workflows to aid collaborative efforts between marketing and other departments.Collaborate,planand execute with other depts to proactively manage promotional efforts.Develop promotional copy and creative assets for social media, events, and outreach efforts.Assistin the creation of promotional vertical videos.Maintain organized digital filing systems for marketing assets, campaign documents, and shared resources to ensure accessibility and efficiency.Assistwith managing and updating WABE marketing calendarOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-Experience and Education Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Experience managing social media platforms for an organization, nonprofit, or media brand.Experience creating vertical videos for social media platforms.Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.Understandingofprinciples of video editing.Experience with social posting and social listening tools.Knowledge of best practices on leading social media platforms.Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear,accurate, and audience-focused content.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment.Demonstrated interest in public media, nonprofit work, community engagement, or mission-driven organizations.Preferred Skills and Abilities Experience using video platforms likeCapCut.Understanding ofthe latest trends of leading social media platforms.
