Responsibilities
- Assist in tactical planning and implementation of CSR national strategy – Driving Your Future - designed to educate and empower the next generation in the communities where employees work and live.
- Develop and support volunteer campaigns that serve employees and dealerships across the country, and in some cases, include customer-facing integrations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with nonprofit allies across the country and locally, provide support for programming and event logistics for CSR.
- Assist in the planning and onsite execution of local (Atlanta, GA and Fort Worth, TX) opportunities which leverage the brand and meet the mission of the nonprofit partners while building employee culture.
- Collaborate with marketing, brand event marketing, public relations and third party agency teams to facilitate media coverage of newsworthy community relations activities by way of internal communications.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of internal communications regarding CSR topics, including but not limited to employee/team inquiries, blog posts, monthly newsletter, and ongoing reporting needs
- Plan business team volunteer events through support of nonprofit partners, oversee the volunteer database YOURCAUSE to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and approved budgets are adhered to.
- Manage volunteer event registration and communication through YOURCAUSE.
- Manage employee volunteer incentive programs through YOURCAUSE including Matching Gifts and Dollars for Doers
- Manage community relations partnerships including vendor setup, contract compliance, membership renewals, and the coordination of executive leader attendance at meetings and events.
- Maintain compliance in database management including the MBAG Sponsorship and Donation Database and Internal Controls audit requirements
- Manage all community relations logistics such as securing vehicles for partner events.
- Represent MBUSA at community activities, events, community networking meetings and other business-related activities.
- Oversee the MBUSA Star Volunteer group – a team of cross functional hand raisers across the Company who help support and carry forward the Driving Your Future CSR mission.
- Perform other responsibilities as necessary to carry forward the business objectives of the department.

Knowledge and Experience
- Community Engagement - Nonprofit, community relations and/or corporate social responsibility experience
- Communications Planning and Project Management
- Administration - Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures
- Business - General Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization
Additional Skills/Experience Needed
Travel and Commuting: Must be able to work flexible hours/work schedule
- Requires valid driver’s license
- Travel domestically or internationally
- Work holidays and weekends when required
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to collect data and establish facts and identify trends and variances
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity, often for reporting purposes
Project Management Skills:
- Ability to develop plans/projects from conceptualization to implementation
- Ability to organize workflow and direct tasks as well as document milestones and ROI’s
- Ability to organize and manage a cross-functional team
- Ability to facilitate the negotiation of contract terms
Other Skills:
- Working knowledge of Canva for creative and communication applications
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and/or luxury brand market is an advantage
- Proven proficiency in the public relations craft is essential (i.e. extensive writing skills a must in addition to strong editing skills)
- Communication and media (print, broadcast, and social media channels), ability to formulate and review materials, pitches, and events tailored to the medium and its requirements (event preparation and execution)
- Strategic thinker, able to synthesize complex material (e.g. technical, financial)
- Ability to work under very tight deadlines, switch from one project to another as required and poise under pressure are an absolute must
- Strong advocacy and persuasion skills a must
- Professional and personable demeanor in representing the Company to the job

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:
