Description
SUMMARY
Assists the Marketing & Communications team in all aspects of promotional, communications, and marketing efforts. Leads event planning efforts and manages daily operations of the organization’s internal communications channels. Supports initiatives that include corporate communications, public relations, and digital marketing by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are listed below in order of importance, from most important to least important.
Manages day-to-day content and operations of the organization’s internal communications channels, including Goodwill Communications (organization-wide email system), digital boards, SharePoint, the weekly This Week at Goodwill e-newsletter, the quarterly Working Together newsletter, and the Regroup text messaging system.
Supports the Director of Brand Experience and the Public Relations & Communications Manager with developing, producing, and distributing the President & CEO’s bimonthly update video (ALL In), the COO’s bimonthly update video, and their recap communications.
Collaborates with internal business partners to understand their communications goals and subsequently creates and executes internal communications strategies to meet those goals.
Leads the Marketing & Communications team’s event planning efforts by developing and executing plans for store anniversaries, grand openings, special sales, pop-up events, and other events.
Identifies and develops stories, testimonials, and videos of Goodwill’s training program participants and team members to assist in communication of the organization’s mission.
Co-leads the organization’s Internal Communications Team, a cross-functional team designed to improve communication materials and culture and ensure that all team members have equitable access to important information.
Manages the in-store overhead messaging and music system, including developing message scripts and coordinating their scheduling with Mood Media.
Assists with digital signage throughout the Goodwill network including digital monument signs, GOC video wall, GRID cash wrap screens, SharePoint and GOC video screens.
Assigns marketing requests to the appropriate team member and ensures accurate timeline tracking and deliverables.
Manages the inventory of promotional items and distribution to organization representatives.
Assists with developing integrated marketing and communications plans, analyzing campaign performance, and reporting results.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE??
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations and two to four years of professional work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, nonprofit, or related activities including at least one year’s experience in writing assignments; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance, and reliable automobile required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to sit, talk or hear. The team member frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the day) is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The team member is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to walk or stand. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Occasional local travel required.
