Ask Piper is a curated discovery app for people who care about finding things that are actually worth it — gifts, restaurants, hotels, skincare, and more. Every result is hand-picked and personally vetted. Nothing is scraped. Nothing is sponsored. We're a small team moving fast. The person who joins us in this role will own a real function from day one — not execute a brief someone else wrote.
This isn't a task-execution role. You'll be expected to bring ideas, spot opportunities, and move on them without being asked. If you're the kind of person who already has opinions about what Ask Piper should be making before you've even started — we want to talk.
The Role
We're looking for a Growth & Content Manager who is scrappy, deeply online, and genuinely excited about what we're building. You'll own Ask Piper's presence across social, email, and organic growth channels — not just posting content, but building a brand voice, growing an audience, and connecting what we make to the people who need it.
You'll also own the performance side: ASO, paid campaigns, analytics, and reporting. This means you'll need to be as comfortable writing a newsletter as you are reading a campaign report and knowing what to do next.
This is a junior role with real ownership from day one. No briefs waiting for you. No lanes mapped out. Just the function, the trust, and the expectation that you'll run with it.
What You'll Own
Social media
- Own Ask Piper's presence on Instagram, TikTok, and any emerging channels worth testing
- Create and post content that feels editorial, curated, and distinctly Ask Piper — not generic AI brand content
- Identify trends before they peak and move on them quickly
- Grow our following through creative tactics, not just consistency
Email & newsletters
- Build, write, and deploy a regular newsletter for our user base
- Own the email list — grow it, segment it, learn from it
- Track open rates, click-throughs, and what actually drives action
App Store Optimisation (ASO)
- Own our App Store listing — keywords, copy, screenshots, and metadata
- Monitor performance and update regularly based on what's working
Paid advertising
- Plan and execute paid social and Google Ads campaigns focused on app downloads and user acquisition
- Manage budget, targeting, and creative — and report on what the spend actually produced
Analytics & reporting
- Track performance across every channel and bring the data to the team unprompted
- Know what's working, say what isn't, and have a point of view on what to do next
Brand & content strategy
- Help shape what Ask Piper sounds like and looks like to the world
- Source partnerships, influencer relationships, and collaborations that make sense for the brand
- Work closely with the founder on content that features her and the product
You Might Be a Fit If You…
- Are genuinely obsessed with discovery, curation, gifting culture, food, travel, or beauty — the things Ask Piper covers
- Spend too much time on TikTok, Instagram, and Substack and already have opinions about what performs and why
- Have created content that actually got traction — not just content that got posted
- Know how to write in a brand voice, not just produce output
- Can shoot, edit, and post short-form video without needing a production team
- Are comfortable running a paid campaign from brief to reporting without hand-holding
- Thrive when you own something — and feel uncomfortable when you don't
- Move before you're told to and course-correct fast when something isn't working
- Are early in your career but already think and operate like someone who's been doing this for years
Tools: Canva, CapCut or similar video editing, Mailchimp or Beehiiv, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Instagram, TikTok, basic analytics platforms. Familiarity with ASO tools is a plus. We don't require every tool — we do require the ability to learn fast.

You're looking for a fully mapped-out role with a brief for every deliverable. You need to be convinced that proactive work is part of the job. You're not already following the conversations, the people, and the brands in the discovery, gifting, and lifestyle space. You want to post content someone else conceptualised. You're not comfortable with ambiguity or moving fast in a small team.
